Remington Parkview Golf and Country Club - Upper

Gotta say pretty disappointed with my round here. Booked a foursome for Saturday morning at 8am about a week in advance. Get to the first tee box only to have the Marshall tell me that a group of 5, YES you read that right a group of FIVE would be taking out 8am tee-time and we would have to play behind them. The Marshall then let us know that “these are the bosses friends and so it doesn’t matter what’s going on or already booked that day, I have to make room wherever”, and then starts telling us about how much money the owner has and all this nonexistent blah blah blah. I don’t care at all about their money unless they’re paying my round. I could care less about the boss and his friends. These guys were absolutely awful, loud and SLOW. The entire course was backed up because of these guys. If you are a business then handle your business properly. Gotta say I probably won’t be coming back here if it costs $100/round plus you can get bumped at any time for whatever reason the “boss” decides. Unfortunate to know there are still businesses run this way instead of worrying about your PAID customers. Don’t see myself booking another one here

Pace of play was terrible. After the first 2 holes, we had to wait for 5 to 7 minutes at each hole. The par 3 holes were much worse. There were 2 groups stuck waiting for tee off. It made the game very boring and tiresome.

Thoroughly enjoyed my round on this day. The course is in great condition and pace of players ideal. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

My only complaint is that I wish the price was a a bit lower for seniors so I can play more.

While I usually play the Valley course, because I like the diversity of the hole designs, I found the Upper to be just as nice a course to play. It has matured so well. While the design of the course is not as diverse as the Valley it still provides a challenge to play. The fairways were well maintained, the greens were impeccable and the ruff was just deep and lush enough to make you pause over your shot. Overall it was a very enjoyable game

As a single player, I joined 3 gentlemen, who were regulars at Remington. Their company was most friendly, thus enjoyable.
