slow play
It took us 4 hours and 40 minutes to play! We had two foursomes ahead of us, clearly in their late 70's or early 80's who took for ever to play. I'm not complaining about their skill level, just play ready golf! The marshal was around and should see the gaps between golfers, so speed things up!
Took five hours to play the upper course. That was way to long for that course
Recommend highly
The greens were well maintained, staff was friendly, going to return for another 18 soon
Played Remington Parkview
Played the upper course and the greens and fairways are in good condition but work is needed on the sand traps.
The started was friendly and shared a few funny jokes as we waited to tee off.
Sad to see Parkview in shambles
Use to play this course a few years ago. Closest to the city. Always was in great shape…. Now the pace of play is standard 4:30 to 5:00 hours. On hole 15 there was a wait to tee off, we were the 3rd group waiting. It was 7:15 and it looked like we had another hour at least remaining. Tee’d off at 3:09pm. Staff let us go early. Nice of them…. Anyway, we decide to go back to hole number 1 and do hole 2, 3, and 4 to ensure we got 18 in. Those four holes took us 30 minutes. Thank goodness for that decision. Don’t get what the point of a Marshall is either. Won’t go there again.
Portable toilets
The portable toilets at hole #9 are filthy. Saw a couple of people opened the doors and took a look inside, then walked away with disgust. It would help if there're more portable toilets spread out at other holes because sometimes people just have to go and can't wait for that long.
Decent budget option, but needs nets by the houses
This is definitely a good value option, the front 9 is decent, back nine a little dull, everything is straight. My major gripe is they recently put a housing estate by the 15/16 fairway and I can't believe they did not put nets there. Kids are playing 50 yards left of the tee box where even experienced golfers could mishit. With many beginner golfers here it's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt
Parkview Upper
The course is in good shape, no complaints on fairways n greens. Not too many players in front of us so pace is pretty good. Managed to finish for two of us in three n a half hours walking. Check in was super quick n staff very friendly n polite. Marshall also very helpful n allowed us to tee off early. The back nine has a few holes close to residents n the rough along the left side borders was terribly high so avoid those areas as impossible to find your ball there. Surprised to find a pheasant running on the 17th hole, very rare to see in Parkview.
