Remington Parkview Golf and Country Club - Upper

Showed up early and was told about a ~40 minute frost delay. Went to the starters hut 30-40 minutes after t time as instructed. Starter put us out with a random group. Group infront of us played at 1/2 of reasonable pace and the marshal/starter drove by them multiple times without any warning of slow play. Course conditions were sub optimal, cart, short game/putting green were of very poor quality.

I generally enjoyed the course. Quite a few interesting and challenging layouts for the price and pretty well kept.

The pace of play was incredibly frustrating. It was a five hour round. I think more pace management is needed especially for looking for balls, mulligans/breakfast balls, and slow putting (flag out, reading break like a tour pro, practice strokes, non ready golf)

Judging by the many unfixed pitch marks on greens, my guess is the customers rather than the course who are causing the issues but it’s up to the course to address.

Great course especially for walking. Nice and flat with a long track. Would definitely play again.

I was a little disappointed in the proshop, I booked a tee time with a coupon I had received from a tournament earlier this year at Remington Parkview, 4 players with cart, seemed to me to read a complimentary round. I wanted to bring my wife to Parkview to introduce her to the course, so 2 of us, with coupon, playing 9-holes only with cart cost $130. I tried to get an explanation from the proshop, and the reply was “it is what it is, and you misread it”. I tried to clarify 9-holes, but still $130. I like the course and layout, but the whole interaction through is off.

Played the UpperCourse. In excellent playing condition except for the dry falling leaves that is expected at this time of the year. Paid full fees . Still hoping that Senior golfers could get a break with lower fees as most of the golfers on Course that day were Seniors.

Have been playing here since 1993 and always enjoyed. People who may be put with you always friendly and congenial.
