Decent Day
Greens and fairways in very good condition.
T boxes however need levelling and filling. Poor footing on many.
Rental sets could use more wedges.
Carts ran well.
Pace was a bit slow but better than usual and Marshall was visible.
Cart girl frequent plus a halfway house.
Pace of play
A group of women 2 groups in front of us refused to tee off until the group in front of them was on the green. This slowed down everyone behind them. Thanks to the Marshall who spoke to them and on the back 9, the pace improved. Five + hrs for the round though
Remington golf course
The really significant problem with this golf area is the absence of a driving range. I know the reasons why. However amateur players really need a place to warm up. Putting and chipping areas are not enough. As handy is the this course is I will play at other courses that have practice facilities in he future.
Poor Conditions
Considering it's the beginning of June- this course was in very poor shape.
The regular practice green was closed and the current practice greens were much faster than the course; never mind the actual condition of the greens. Do people not fix ball marks at this course? There were lots of muddy and bumpy spots on the greens.
The tees were also in rough shape with sod and uneven lies throughout.
I've been playing Parkview for nearly 2 decades and this was the worst shape I've ever seen the course.
So disappointed...
