Valley Course July 20, 2021
Played on a hot humid summer day.
Saw that ball washers were re-installed at tee blocks.
Surprised and somewhat disappointed that flagsticks lost the foam cup inserts. Enjoyed the easier ball retrieval with the foam cups inserts. Less contact needed.
Guess COVID rules are being relaxed in Ontario now ! ?
Pace of Play
Love the valley course. Your staff are great, very personable and seem to manage all elements of their jobs seamlessly. I play with 3 other senior and I think all of recently bought another 10 (+2) round package.
The pace of play is usually very good at about 4 hours and 15. And we all appreciate that. But we hated play this past Sunday. It took us about 5 hours and 15. Arghhh!!!
But we’ll keep coming back for sure.
Thanks,
James
Love this course
Great value for the money. Very friendly and helpful staff
Pace of Play Unacceptable
Played at Remington for the third time this year. I got to say this was extremely disappointing. The pace of play was the worst I have ever experienced. There were line ups on the first 7 holes, followed by line ups by waiting for fairways to clear and further line ups on the remaining par 3's and having to wait on every other hole for the fairways to clear. Marshall did not do anything the entire time I was there. No round on a short course should take over 6 hours to play.
Great layout
Lot of fun with great layout. If you have distance, you can try to hit short cut to go for the green on Par 4 holes. Course is not long, but need precise distance. It is great course to modify for golfing skill.
It is ok
It is a interesting par 71 course. There are two things I only rate it 3 stars. The firsts the hydro cable. There are hydro towers everywhere and the cables are above your head. The second thing is the tee deck conditions are poor.
Golf Cart Crash
I was playing the Valley course. I forgot what hole it was, it was the par 3 hole that is in the valley and I hit from the top of the hill. After the tee shot, I drove down the steep hill which was a bit damp although it was not raining. I was driving slowly because of the steepness of the hill. In mid way, the cart lost control and managed to steer it to head towards the trees before it crashed into the trees. I was thrown out of the cart and got a deep cut on my leg and many bruises. My friends who were driving their own carts also felt that the carts were skidding although they were able to control it in time. I suggest you to check the tires of the carts to ensure that they are fit for the dampness on a steep hill. I've been playing at this course for a few years, and this is the first time I had this accident. Safety is important for your golfers. Please look into it asap.
Dad's Birthday
We decided to golf this course as it was my dad's birthday and he has since passed. in 1984 he achieved a hole in one and wanted to golf where he always loved to go. Highly recommend this course as it is well kept and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. thank you again we will be back!!!
Remington parkview valley
Tees 11and 5 need work. Speed of play tends to slow down on the last five holes. Would have liked some water on the back nine. Fairways are in fair shape. Greens were in good shape.
Great course close to home, but expect a slow pace...
Been here many times. It's a very popular 36. Valley course is the better one if you're looking for more challenge. Layout is fantastic and conditions are fair given the tier of the club. *Good bang for the buck.
However, pace can be slow as most golfers are beginners to mid level. The downside is that this type of course attract many beer league type players that don't follow golf ethics and that can be annoying. The marshalls there are not the best either.
I get it's all.aboit having fun and I'm not there to judge anyone's level of play as long as they follow ethics, have courtesy, and do their best to keep up with the group in front of them.
Hope this review will push the club improve.
Worst pace of play
The pace of play was absolutely ridiculous. Over 5 hours to play a round is absurd. Will not be returning.
Just Not Good Enough
Course is $70 walking but I'd rather pay more for another course. Greens are soft and feel like a sponge. Slow play with no Marshall in site. Just not enjoyable at all.
