Great course for beginners
My daughter and I played this course. She is new to golf and it was a great experience. It wasn't busy and we had our own twosome. I was able to give her some instruction as we played. The round took 2.5 hours which was long but since no one was behind us we were able to take our time and enjoy the day. Normally she would have to pick up her ball to keep pace.
Also the staff in the Pro shop were very nice and accommodating since showed up 5 minutes late for our tee time.
1st Time - Oct 22nd
Loved the course - good practice for the irons, greens were challenging but excellent shape.
Poor customer service
I booked the wrong course and tried to play with my buddy on the main course. They came out onto the course and told me to go to the other course. I asked to play with my buddy and they provided no alternative but to go play on the other course. They were rude and asked me why I was mad at them. Very poor customer service. I will never play at that course at that club again. The difference in price was only $5-$10 and they said since I bought on GolfNow they couldn’t help me out. It is not like this is a high priced course. It is run by the city.
Pace of Play
If it wasn’t for them having the worst pace of play arguably in Canada, the course would be my favourite for sure. Great layout, off course amenities, not overly priced. Unfortunately they just rush way too many golfers onto the course and don’t have a Marshall keeping things in order.
Sick little course
Don’t even bring any sort of wood if you have trust in your game. Wicked little course. Different entrance from the main course so make sure to get the right address.
Open practice 3
Each par 3 has a longish 140-190 yard tee and a much shorter 80-100 yard one. Course was very open with few trees but some grassy roughs are long grass and easy to lose balls in.
Great par 3 course but slow pace
Fourth time this season I’ve played here. It’s a very fun course to play to practice your short game. The only issue, and it’s not the first time, is the pace of play, took us about 35 minutes longer than it should have as we were waiting on the group ahead of us, who were waiting on the group ahead of them, etc. tee times need to spaced out better. Otherwise a great course to play.
good beginner course...just average
greens were so so but the layout and play is fast. 4 of us finished in just under 2 hours. no shade and no trees makes for lots of visibility but is grueling on a hot day like we had. bring lots of water and stay hydrated!
