Iron Oaks Golf Course

About
Iron Oaks is Beaumont's newest course, opened in 1995 as Rabbit Run at Brook Road. It plays to an executive-like 5,892 yards from the white tees. The flat fairways are not burdened by trees. Doglegs spice up the route, as do a few water hazards and the occasional bunker, and the course offers a good combination of various-sized greens. In fact, the greens might be the most challenging aspect at Rabbit Run-they feature severe undulations that make for very difficult two-putts.
Getting there : Take I-10 west to Houston and exit Brooks Rd. Travel west and cross Major Dr. then 3/10ths of a mile on the right is the entrance to the course.

They Must Hate Golf
They must hate golf at Iron Oaks Golf Course! The greens are, for the most part, gone and the fairways are ankle deep. It is a shame that a golf course is allowed to get in such disrepair. Stay away from Iron Oaks Golf Course.
