Beechwood Golf & Social House
About
Beechwood Golf & Social House sprawls across gently rolling hills dotted with natural water features and trees, providing a terrain that is ideal for golf. The championship layout features fast, undulating greens and carefully contoured fairways. Ponds come into play throughout along with meandering creeks and streams. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers in play. Beechwood Golf & Social House's finishing hole is notable for both the scenery and challenges it offers. To begin the hole you need a precise drive between out-of-bounds on the left and a creek to the right that cuts into a landing area, and then you must make a skillful second shot to a triple-tiered green that slopes towards the creek's edge.

Beechwood Golf
The course is making improvements from years past but still struggle with their tee boxes and greens. Very few level tee boxes and so many unrepaired ball marks on the greens. 2 greens had been flooded before we played on them, made it impossible to putt and 2 greens have visible damage. Likely cause by a cold winter.
Hole 13 requires some over head limbs to be trimmed over the tee box. Playing from the back blue/gold tees, it is hard to keep a short iron low enough to not have the branches interfere.
The hospitality side was great, the starter, restaurant crew and pro shop staff were very friendly and kind.
Great course
We enjoyed the course. At times a bit challenging for novice golfers. Some tee blocks not in good shape. Greens were a bit slow. Fairways were in good shape. We had a bit of Cary trouble but staff replaced it very quickly. Thank you. We will be back for sure
Conditions were terrible
Trees down everywhere, rough not cut in months, tee blocks are very dead, fairways spongy. Garbage in parking lot first thing in the morning. It was a terrible experience start to finish we left after 13 holes.
Terrible conditions
Lots of fairways are under construction. Unplayable. Sand traps are mud.
Course is pretty rough
Lots of mud and missing grass on fairway. Packed so many into a Friday night we were waiting 15 min+ at every hole with at least 1 group waiting behind us as well. Won’t be back.
X course has 8mproved
Played 3 years ago when course in poor shape. Many improvements aince then inxluding trimming shrubs and bushes. Traps have had major work done and are very good. Fairways and greens are fair to good. Looking foeward to continued improvements.
Decent course!
This course is a great course for all golfers alike. It lacks on course maintenance , slow greens, and crowded play times but it’s a great layout, the fairways are challenging , there are plenty of hazards to look out for and it gives you all the challenges a par3,par4, and par 5 hole course should.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating, we do wish there was a cart girl out abit sooner on a Sunday afternoon but when she was out she made two passes in 9 holes.
This course would be top tier with a little better grounds keeping, the greens are dried out and there are some unkept areas on most of the holes is not all.
Good bang for your buck here overall.
Honest review, would play here again and plan to.
Needs some up keep
Cart paths need to be paved or at least the big holes filled in with stone. The rough, although it's not really long, it was challenging to find the golf ball. The greens are not perfect like they should be by early June. There are a few staked off areas in the fairways that require attention. Good for the $45 golf and ride that we paid.
Fun course to play
I love this place, the staff is fantastic and like to take attention of you..
Maybe new karts will be appreciated and the is a lot of dust when you drive in a kart on the kart pat.
8.9/10
Course review
Main fairways, grass too long impeded game play and caused delays looking for golf balls in the long grass.
Love Beechwood
I play here regularly but yesterday was my first time this season and then I had a tournament there today. The staff is the reason I keep coming back. They are all so friendly from the pro shop to the greenskeepers. The course is in a little wet conditions but the management has the course being maintained regularly. I counted atleast 10 different staff out on the course doing various setups and fixing various pathways and other stuff around the course. It was absolutely a delight and there's not a course in niagara that beats the value.
Great course and staff
I read some mixed reviews on this course but wanted to try it out for myself. I took my 13yo son for his first par72 course experience and we loved it. I was impressed by the staff and knowledge of the course as well as conditions after so little rain lately. He felt like he was golfing on a course like the Good Good team. Will definitely be going back this season and adding this to my rotation of courses.
Former member
I was a member of this course 30 years ago. Still enjoy going back. Considering the weather we have had this year, course is in very good shape. Greens are fast. Would recommend to anyone.
