Royal Niagara Golf Club - Iron Bridge Course

About
With a location tucked away between the Niagara Escarpment, the Bruce Trail, and the Welland Canal, Royal Niagara Golf & Country Club offers 27 scenic holes. The Iron Bridge Course is one of the three nines at the club. The first hole runs across the magnificent Iron Bridge, which passes over the rambling waters of the Welland Canal. There are undulating greens and deep, well placed bunkers throughout the golf course. Although all of the courses at Royal Niagara Golf & Country Club are equal in difficulty and beauty, each layout is unique with an interesting set of challenges that pose a formidable test for players of all skill levels.

Starter was ignorant to my group and other golfers
When I played this course a couple of years ago I was really turned off by the poor customer service and professionalism of the staff. I said to myself I wouldn’t go back. A friend of mine was in town and wanted to play this course recently so I regretfully decided to join him. I do believe in giving second chances, however there will never ever be a third. The same level of unacceptable customer service was yet again happening. The starter was not only rude to myself but also made a very offside comment about 2 golfers who were of another ethnicity, to another waiting golfer nearby. The amount of rules and waivers and things I couldn’t do before my round including moving the cart to the putting green was quite ridiculous. I can assure you I will never be back to this facility or any other one owned by this company.
Great course!
Course in great condition!
Tricky greens to read
Really enjoyed it.
Horrible Pace of Play
Course itself is nice. Old Canal 9 very challenging. Staff seemed indifferent except one friendly cart girl. 1:55 to play front nine (Iron Bridge) over 3 hours!!! To play back nine. They called out a ranger who did nothing to speed up play. Plus numerous groups placed in front of us after the turn. . Could have been a nice round but the pace and indifference of starters and marshals were unacceptable.
Royal Niagara
The course was in great shape. Staff very friendly. Pace of play was great. Im also glad you kept your bunkers, and they were in good shape as well.
This is now becoming the course to play in Niagara.
Divots and ball marks
Very good greens but a lot of ball marks in greens and divots without being repared
Confused
So unorganized
Attitude
Disappointed before I even started
Course conditions were awesome
Cart girl showed up 2nd last hole dieing of thirst
Won't be back
Royal Niagara
Was told that I would enjoy this course and I can say others were right. Typically well kept clubhouse, carts, range and course. Standard for any Kaneff course. Would definitely play here again for the money it is well worth it.
Good course but slow play
Course is great, challenging but fun with forgiveness. Only downfall was the pace of play. Waited at every hole for the group infront to tee off, and they were waiting for the group infront of them. Over 5 hours to play 18
Pace of play
Two of us on a cart were paired with a walking golfer. Too slow
Should not be playing with walkers if on a cart
18 Holes was not enough
We had a perfect day to play Royal Niagara and played an emergency 9 holes after playing 18- ( Iron Bridge 2X and Escarpment 1X) . Next time will budget for 27 holes and hopefully will play the Canal Course as well. Consider a membership for 2025.
Nice course with so much untapped potential
A perfectly above average experience ... with the chance to be so much more. The course is very well laid out and requires quite a bit of strategy. The views are nice and the prices are reasonable. So it's hard to complain when all that is factored in. The course conditions were lacking and greens just didn't roll true. With some modest improvements (this course would seriously benefit from GPS in the carts - a modest upgrade that all premium courses should have nowadays) and a little more attention to detail, this could be one of the best courses in the Niagara region. For now, it's just a very solid B with the potential to be much better.
Good day of golf
The course was in okay condition, there was a tournament that morning so there were a few extra ball marks on the green, Otherwise it was a perfect day of golf. Staff were super friendly and helpful.
