Beechwood Golf & Social House
About
Beechwood Golf & Social House sprawls across gently rolling hills dotted with natural water features and trees, providing a terrain that is ideal for golf. The championship layout features fast, undulating greens and carefully contoured fairways. Ponds come into play throughout along with meandering creeks and streams. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers in play. Beechwood Golf & Social House's finishing hole is notable for both the scenery and challenges it offers. To begin the hole you need a precise drive between out-of-bounds on the left and a creek to the right that cuts into a landing area, and then you must make a skillful second shot to a triple-tiered green that slopes towards the creek's edge.

nice course
nice layout some very difficult holes got rained out after 9
very nice good greens great stff
love the course very good for all levels of players
Nice course, horrid bunkers
Hadn't played here in a couple decades. Forgot how nice of a course it is. Mature trees, nice ponds, elevation charges. There was a lot of ground under repair but I suppose that's to be expected in May after a late spring. The bunkers, though, were in terrible condition. About 3/4" of sand at most, then clay - if your lie has any sand at all. I was also a bit puzzled by the fact they told me to keep my cart on the path and avoid driving on the rough. A common enough request, but when we got out there we found that most of the course doesn't have any cart path at all, and the paths that do exist tend to be in very poor condition. So it was pretty odd they would tell me to do something that's is quite literally impossible. The greens were in good condition although a little slow. I wouldn't pay full price for this course but with the Hot Deal (about 50% off) it was a fair price.
Could be better
Rough needs to be cut again in the opposite direction. Wet conditions early in year made it get too long for the first cut. Grass got folded over and is still too long. A opposite direction cut now with dry conditions would make it good.
Cart paths suck.
Horrible Mothers Day experience
I haven’t been to this course in 3 years and I will never return again. When you pay $75 for a round of golf you expect the course to at least be in playable conditions. Almost every hole had areas marked off for ground under repair and the 3 holes across the road were unplayable. Embarrassing to say the least.
No carts out because of conditions we had a hard time walking very long course…
Great course bad day
Went with a friend and had a really good time and shot well. The course was great not too hard not too easy. Some areas of grass seemed a little too long than they should have been and there was a decent amount of GUR but it’s May so that’s expected. It rained the last 2 days so it was very muddy and the cart paths were covered in large puddles. Other than that I had a great time and will definitely be returning on a better day.
A welcomed surprise
With few courses open at this time of year, I decided to play Beechwood becausse of the pricepoint. AT $25 for nine holes it is much larger course than the ither 2 9 hole course in NOTL. When arriving I was informed 18 was only 35.
I have played here before with my last experience being terrible base on tje course conditions. Well what a difference a year makes. The fairways were in excellent shap as we the greens. Tee boxes were limited to 2 options at this time and the course could benefit from some additional signage to help new players along. Over all very impressed with how the course has been maintained. Understand that it is April and upgrades are being completed on what looks to be some new drainage.
In short no better value for your dollar.
Horrible Pace
Ive played nearly every course in Niagara this season and played Beechwood for the 3rd time this year, yesterday. This is by far the WORST pace of play I have ever seen in my life. Im not exaggerating when I say Its a 6 hour round minimum every time. The only course where there are constantly 3 full groups backed up on one tee box. We teed off at 1:30 and were only able to get 9 holes in before dark at 5:15. Waste of time and money (extremely overpriced for its condition to begin with at $70 LOL). A true embarrassment to the game of golf. I will never play here again.
