About
With a location tucked away between the Niagara Escarpment, the Bruce Trail, and the Welland Canal, Royal Niagara Golf & Country Club offers 27 scenic holes. The Iron Bridge Course is one of the three nines at the club. The first hole runs across the magnificent Iron Bridge, which passes over the rambling waters of the Welland Canal. There are undulating greens and deep, well placed bunkers throughout the golf course. Although all of the courses at Royal Niagara Golf & Country Club are equal in difficulty and beauty, each layout is unique with an interesting set of challenges that pose a formidable test for players of all skill levels.

Amazing layout
Been a few times to this course as it’s local. Went after they punch the greens and put sand on them…..there was A LOT of sand. The greens were pretty much unplayable after this BUT this is just what happens at the end of the season. To be expected. The one thing that would’ve been nice with the greens being so terrible would be a little bit more of a deal than they offer, I had $3 taken off the original green fee. Any other time this course is so good! The fairways are very nice, pace of play is always normal, people are good and just really enjoy the setup.
Aerating Greens
Would have been 5 stars all around but greens are being prepared for next year. Otherwise, all good.
happy to be here
First time on this course. Conditions were fine and layout not too challenging for an intermediate player and good pace of play. Pretty good value for the money. Friendly staff.
Nice course
Played early in the morning, they must have watered like crazy as fairways were soaked, didn't expect this in October. Course was in good shape except for the bunkers which were wet and not raked.
Range was closed as there was a tournament that was starting at noon, we were there at 8! Staff said no one to pick up balls...
No beverage cart.
Will play again next year
One of my favorites
I really enjoy playing royal Niagara. The course is very well designed and it plays very tough. I would play here more often if they had deals
open
they need to open up the other nine and pace of play will improve.
Good layout, slow pace of play, average conditions
Disappointing as the layout could be great, but the pace of play was terrible (5hrs 10) and we did not see a single marshall all round. Staff seemed limited and disinterested. Cart girl went home at 5pm, not great as play so slow. Great potential but course conditions average, many greens with issues.
Wet conditions but playable
It was cartpath only, course was in decent condition considering all the rain locally this year. Found this course challenging for my skill set but had fun being challenged, still broke 100
Course does not accommodate handicapped players
First time to the course with with 3 friends one of which recently had a kidney removed and is still not back up to full strength. On arrival we were informed that it was cart path only so for my friend we asked for a handicapped flag and were told that the course will not accommodate handicapped players when it is cart path only.
We thought that was very strange not to accommodate a guest and found it even stranger since there was no standing on the course at all except for 3 sand traps.
Cart path only in almost perfect conditions makes no sense at all. And because of that the round lasted 5 hours.
Tee boxes all in bad shape and most are slanted.
Greens are full of ball marks and don't seemed to be repaired.
