Royal Niagara Golf Club - Iron Bridge Course
About
With a location tucked away between the Niagara Escarpment, the Bruce Trail, and the Welland Canal, Royal Niagara Golf & Country Club offers 27 scenic holes. The Iron Bridge Course is one of the three nines at the club. The first hole runs across the magnificent Iron Bridge, which passes over the rambling waters of the Welland Canal. There are undulating greens and deep, well placed bunkers throughout the golf course. Although all of the courses at Royal Niagara Golf & Country Club are equal in difficulty and beauty, each layout is unique with an interesting set of challenges that pose a formidable test for players of all skill levels.

Wouldn’t return
Awful from bag drop to course conditions to fairways to abandon bunkers ( likely ownership reduced operating costs by eliminating them in numerous locations) this is a total waste of money and time considering what available in and around the region .
Just awful
From pro shop check in to awful conditions. Clearly a coarse interested in vacation crowd who haven’t gambled their money away . It’s horrible value horrible fairways and rough and in a cost reduction situation they removed bunkers and let weeds grow over as though they planed grass bunkers . I would quit golf if that was the last coarse left on earth .
Everything was great, the only complaints were the old guy in the first tee around 920 when we teed off. Was really miserable and a unfriendly. The marshal also seemed to hover abit when our pace of play was under 15 mins a hole and I was walking, maybe just read into that too much. Course was fantastic shape, all other staff was very friendly. I’ll be back!
Really Nice Course
Great course. Picturesque with challenging holes. I've played 3 times mid-week and all 3 times we pretty much had the course to ourselves.
Great Course & Staff
The Escarpment course was in fantastic condition. Fellow golfers were friendly and allowed fast players to play through without fuss.
I played independently, and it took me 1 hour and 10 minutes (I just started golfing consistently this year, so I'm relatively new).
Great Course
They need to cut back the rough on the Canal course you can't see the greens from the fairway the rough is so high in front of the green. The staff was excellent very friendly and helpful kudos to the staff
Great Pace of play
We played early morning and didn't wait even for a minute. The course in in ok condition. Tee boxes are taking a beating and fairways are full of divots and clumps of grass left from those divots. People aren't fixing ball marks in the greens or fairways. The layout is fun and challenging, but the course is taking a beating from the lack of self responsibility of other golfers. Price was fair and staff was very friendly. We did have 2 way overpriced chicken salad sandwiches at the turn. Overall I will play this course again but I won't be expecting pristine course conditions.
Huge disappointment
I thought I would give this track another try and now I am 100% convinced that I will not play there again. 5.5 hours! three foursomes on many of our Par 4's and the Marshall came by just to chat!! The tees were do chew'd up that we had to go outside of the box to get a blade of grass. Pro shop and food counter look ready to go out of business! It looks terribly uncared for. With so many choices to golf in Niagara and at prices equal to RN, you would think that they would be in better shape on all fronts.
