Otter Creek Golf Club
About
Otter Creek Golf Club is situated in the idyllic farm community of Otterville, Ontario, which is only a 30-minute drive from Woodstock. The rural landscape was formerly farm and tobacco fields, lending a unique, rustic character to the golf course. The layout sprawls across 300 acres, winding through the scenic, wooded valleys of Otter, Cedar, and Spittler Creeks. Dick Kirkpatrick, one of Canada's top golf course architects, designed Otter Creek Golf Club. Kirkpatrick designed the course with players of all skill levels in mind, incorporating minimal forced carries and six sets of tees to make it more accessible for those who are new to the game

Drizzle during round
The course was in good shape, starting on the back, as they were still wiping/drying the greens on the front. No water retention, as it drained away well and left it playable. The greens were nice and rolled true. A few sand traps were over grown and obviously not it use...we just took a free lift out of them to avoid 'weed' play. The pace was great due to very few players ahead or behind. Would recommend this course, as it has been a favorite for us in the past.
Interesting design
The course was in good condition for a public course.
Greens were a bit slow but most are slower in this heat wave. The holes offer some challenges for ball placement off the tee . I would play it again but found that the players are not looking after the course. People, fix your ball marks and repair your divots. It makes it better for everyone.
Great day
Myself and 3 friends have made otter creek a choice to play at least once a week b, even though it’s about an hour drive away from us we have made it one of our favourite courses . Highly recommended
Great Day
PlaPlayed with my sons who are long ball hitters, very important to play the correct tee blocks for your game. Some long carrys. Course plays long and is a very challenging layout. Course conditions were good in spite of the long dry period. My sons thought the greens were long and slow but I thought they were fine again, when its that hot you can´t cut them too short or you risk loosing them.
Workers Will Steal anything left behind
Golfed there on Sunday, August 3rd. Left my Leupold range finder on the cart by accident after using it on hole 18, then parked it at the cart spot and drove home. Called 30 minutes later after realizing I don’t have it. They said they didn’t have it but will call if it turns up. Whoever was in charge of cleaning the carts would have found it instantly. The worker there obviously pocketed the range finder and was never going to turn in.
Great place to play
Always love this place. Greens a little slow but I don’t think they can cut them right now.
Otter Creek Challengin
This is a great course to play if you are not a beginner. The course is challenging enough and then to make very tough greens as well is too much for the average golfer. The course will beat you up. There is too much sand in the bunkers for most people.
A pure golfing experience!
A friend and I teed off at 8:40am after a solid warm-up on the excellent range and putting greens. The starter was incredibly welcoming and offered some great tips and local knowledge about the course — a nice touch that set the tone for the day.
The course itself was in championship shape. The greens were rolling fast and true, and one detail that really stood out to me — the edges on every hole were perfectly crisp and clean, a subtle display of their great attention to detail.
We barely saw another group out there, which made it feel like we had the course to ourselves. Big kudos to the staff for not stacking tee times too closely together. It made for a relaxed, uninterrupted round.
This course is as challenging as it is beautiful. It rewards smart play, and while it’s not punishingly difficult, many holes will make you grind for par. So bring your A-game if you’re hoping to score low.
Would highly recommend to anyone who loves the game.
Cheers
Tough
Course is really tough right now with the hard ground. Rough is pretty tough too. Great course.
Placement golf
Very tough but very nice track. Played from the white tees and that was challenging.
Great course enjoy the layout very challenging. It is very much worth the 1hr 45 min drive. Only second time playing but will be back again for sure.
