Otter Creek Golf Club
About
Otter Creek Golf Club is situated in the idyllic farm community of Otterville, Ontario, which is only a 30-minute drive from Woodstock. The rural landscape was formerly farm and tobacco fields, lending a unique, rustic character to the golf course. The layout sprawls across 300 acres, winding through the scenic, wooded valleys of Otter, Cedar, and Spittler Creeks. Dick Kirkpatrick, one of Canada's top golf course architects, designed Otter Creek Golf Club. Kirkpatrick designed the course with players of all skill levels in mind, incorporating minimal forced carries and six sets of tees to make it more accessible for those who are new to the game

golf
course in excellent condition and a very good challenge for any golfer
Sun. July 28/24
The round was enjoyable. Weather was hot. The course conditions were very good. Pace of play could have been a bit faster, but, overall, was satisfactory. As it was our first time here, I found there were forks in cart paths were directional signs, regarding the next hole, were sometimes lacking. Club house looked quite nice. Only used the washroom facilities and they, also, were well appointed. As with a few other courses we have played, and not my favourite policy, there were no carts allowed to your vehicle. This, at times, presents a different procedure than to what we usually accustomed. I would readily consider playing here again if the opportunity presents. I found it the type of course where repeat rounds would offer a more comfortable feeling as far as hazards , shot lines and angles would be more familiar.
Slow play
Back nine became painful due to a 5some of some slow playing seniors. Not sure where the Marshall was. Saw him on the front 9 but he was missing I. The back 9.
Reborn Phoenix
The course is very close to it's peak condition. The bunkers have been revamped with white thick sands. The green is OK, running true, but to be honest, there are a lot of ball marks. The players need to fix the ballmarks.
The layout is fantastic, very challenging. I love to go back any time.
Nice course but too many Rangers!
This course is in great shape. Round was just over 4 hours. We saw more Rangers than golfers - we felt like we were being watched every hole! Staff were pretty nice and the beer girl was always there when we needed her! Not crazy about their “no carts in the parking lot” policy. Would not recommend this course to any golfer over a 25 handicap. Saying all that we had a fun day- go play it!
Much improved!
I’ve always loved Otter Creek’s layout but the condition of the bunkers had gotten out of hand so I hadn’t been back for a few years.
Yesterday we played it again and I was very impressed with the improvements. They had removed some traps and the remaining ones were well groomed with nice sand. They’ve also paved the front 9 cart paths with plans to do the back 9. The greens were in good condition but a little slow.
I highly recommend this course.
Beautiful Course
Absolutely gorgeous course. Played the blue tees and it is indeed as difficult as you want to make it. Super friendly staff. Unfortunately, the group immediately in front was painfully slow, walked to each other’s ball etc. for every shot. Overall nice facilities and would play again.
signs
There is only one thing wrong with the course and its a really small thing and it is. it could use a little more sign on helping you on where the next hole. it was are first time there a little confusing
Used to be worth the money
I am somebody who believes the greens can make or break a course. Unfortunately the greens here have deteriorated to the point that this course is no longer worth the drive or the money. Too bad as the layout is great (minus the stupid 9th hole), and the staff is great. The carts, they clearly have some old ones which are trash and some new ones. They need to get rid of the old ones.
Amazing
Well worth the travel to play this course
Greens were great and course was challenging to every level.
Hidden gem good bang for your buck
If there is strong winds this course is miserable on the front 9 but course is very nice and very challenging. Great fairways and greens ill be back
