Cobble Beach Golf Links

About
Cobble Beach Golf Links has a classic layout that runs over rolling hills, giving the fairways and greens an undulation that replicates the feel of traditional links courses. The layout is unique in that both the front and back nines return along the water, offering scenic views of the rocky bluffs. Both nines meander through open meadows that are framed by mature forests. The rolling fairways are generous and most of the greens slope towards the bay. Billowing fescue rough and pot bunkers further add to the golf course’s traditional links feel. One of the most memorable holes at iCobble Beach Golf Links is the par-5 seventh. This hole requires a first shot from the highest point on the course to a downhill, undulating fairway that is also flanked by pot bunkers on the left.

Couse in Poor Condition
We stayed/played on Thursday and Friday.
While the course layout is great and the course challenging, the condition was very disappointing.
The fairways had divots everywhere that had not been repaired and the greens were rough and bumpy.
Certainly not the quality you would expect for the premium price charged.
I would not play again or recommend to others given the foregoing.
Amazing
Everything about this course was top notch absolutely nothing negative to say very technical and absolutely gorgeous.
Quality
Great course, happy friendly people working there. You can pay less to go somewhere else but you will be disappointed. If you are disappointed here the issue is most likely your own.
Challenging but forgiving
Pace of play was slow, course was extremely wet. The course itself is stunning!!!
Awesome, Awesome
Played here while in the area, and it did not dissapoint. It rained over night and in morning. So the fairways were really wet. But from Tee to green this course is beautiful. The views you get, absolutely stunning. The greens held shots well and were super quick. Rolled so well. This is the best course I have ever played all around. If I am ever in the area I will be back. The pro shop had a ton of stuff to choose from and all the staff was great. The Driving range is nice with a chipping green with a sandtrap and a putting green. The clubhouse, nice little bar, but he setup outside with the view of the bay and the 9th and 18th green. I didn't want to leave. Great facility.
Beautiful course
The wind coming off the lake makes this a challenging and unpredictable course. Beautiful nonetheless. The Lighthouse (17) is jaw dropping. Some fairways were a little swampy, but the greens were in excellent condition.
Disappointment of 2020 Golf Season
Disappointment of 2020 golf season. Would not recommend.
Cobble Beach is advertised as an elite golf destination but is far from it.
Reasons I won't be returning:
1. Mundane course
2. Way over priced
3. Inconvenient to get to
4. Slow round with a rude marshal*
5. Lined with half built tract housing
6. Bad service when booking (likely spoke to the brother of the marshal lol)
*The marshal told us we were slow, while we were waiting for the green to clear on the par three 8th hole, and we could see two groupings ahead on par five 9th hole (SMH)
Very nice course
Pace of play and Marshall’s are a complete joke
If you like 3 hour nines this is a course for you. Pace of play is pathetic Marshall’s don’t do anything. Would never come back
Stunning!!!
Course is absolutely stunning!! In great shape, and unique!!
A must play for everybody!!
Water has a major impact on putting!! Good luck!!
Goose problem
Would have been all 5 star rating if goose droppings on signature hole #17 were not so prevalent. Actually had to move ball to create putting lane. One of us stepped in pile and transferred to cart floor. Again, fabulous course, outside of goose factor. Starter very personable. Staff good.
I had a fantastic day today. The course was in great shape and the weather was perfect. The staff are very friendly. Next time I will come for 2 days.
A great getaway
Cobble Beach in Kemble Ontario is a great getaway destination. The golf course is long but very playable. The fairways and the greens were in excellent condition even though we played later in the year. It was a perfect Thanksgiving getaway. The view from each hole was of the beautiful picturesque Georgian bay. After golf a nice warm beverage in the friendly facilities and a hot tub to warm up. The area offers walking trails into the enchanted forest. It was a beautiful weekend to be there.

WOW on the Sound
This is an incredible track. The course is fair and playable for all levels of golfer with awesome and difficult greens. The sound has 'pull' equal or greater than that on the pacific ocean - Always pay attention to where Georgian Bay is because it is going to effect the break. I have had the benefit of playing golf on many of the finest rated courses in the world and this is definitely one of them. Every golf enthusiast needs to play Cobble Beach and be sure to book a 2nd round to apply what you have learned the 1st time
