Spring golf at Stone Tree
Considering the late April date and the rather wet and soggy conditions, the course held up remarkably well.
Stone Tree has come far, in the last few years - positive changes, both on-course and with management, all bodes well for the season ahead..!
Stone Tree golf
Course was in great shape, greens were very good, staff did all the right things and more. Their are some birdie holes out there, but some tough holes too. Stress free, scenic, fun round of golf.
Nice course
Played with my son and a buddy. Due to special promotions at the club the pace of play was slow but manageable. Course lay out was good and fair. Definitely will come back next season.
Great course
Course is in great shape.greens and t boxes are well maintained.the second hole being beyond my skill level is the only complaint and that’s not the courses fault.
Golfing within the Owen Sound Area
Let’s start by stating they have a hot deal on GolfNow basically every day around 11:30 am. This worked well for us as we were 45 minutes away. The course was in very good shape, especially for September. Most fairways are lined with trees and there are a few out front f bounds along the side of a few fairways. There is also only a few water hazards to contend with and even they were only 10 yards to crossover most of them. The greens and tee blocks were in pretty good shape, with a couple of exceptions. When the gold tee blocks were at the back tee decks, they were a little rough. My recommendation would be to also move the forward tees (red) up on at least the longer par 4’s and the par 5’s to assist the not so long hitters. My wife played those tees, while I played the gold. Staff very friendly and we saw the cart person, several times during our round. Carts were electric and in very good condition. Definitely will return and inform family and friends about this course.
