Benbrook 3 Par

About
Benbrook Lake provides the perfect setting for this unique little 9-hole par 3. Excellent views and short holes with elevated green draw the folks to Frank and Debbie Reynold’s place. Water even comes into play on a few holes, and they’ve even gone to the trouble of spotting the course with several bunkers. No. 2 is the best: a full 8 iron with water looming left. You’ll feel the machismoness when you nail this green.
You can pay once and play all day, and even extend the golf orgy into the darkness of night, since they’ve lighted the course.
Getting there : Take I-30 west to Hwy. 820 and turn south. Drive 1 mile to Winscott Rd. and turn left. Beach is .5 mile down. Turn right and you’ll see the course.

Hidden Gem of Benbrook
Benbrook Par 3 is a hidden gem! The staff is always friendly and welcoming, making every visit enjoyable. They’ve made a lot of great changes like fun events, clean facilities, and even a mini putt-putt area for the kids, which is a big plus for families. A great place to relax, practice your short game, or just enjoy some time outdoors.
Golf now
Benbrook said Golf now does not pay them when booking through here. I did not get points for playing here. I love this course and the staff and will continue to go but do not book it through Golf pass. Golf pass please remedy the situation so we can receive points and a discount when playing here.
Do not recommend
This place doesn’t use this app so I ended having to pay double because I couldn’t get a refund from the app. I know it wasn’t a big price to play but was definitely expecting a little nicer place than what there was. Definitely would not recommend this place.
Fun family practice facility
Greens are decent and receptive to shots. Putts should be firm as they are on the slow end of the meter. Fairways are dry and hard with tremendous rollout. Tee boxes are rough but well marked with yardages. Ball washers present. Great place to learn to golf. Cheers.
Unexpected!
I should have researched a little bit better, but this course is really short. Par 3’s with most holes 100 yards or less. You tee off of mats onto small greens. Greens were not horrible, but the round of 9 was over in about an hour. 36$ plus tax for two of us.
It needs some maintenance
Not sure what I was expecting but this was not it. The tee boxes had mats you could hit off or the box. Unfortunately none of the tee boxes were mowed so the grass was a bit long to hit out of. The lady at the office told me they were no longer in the golf now network but honored the purchase. She was friendly and sent me on my way. There was no grass between tee box and green, just weeds. It was cheap enough, just had higher hopes.
Not a member of golf now!
Course was fine and exactly as expected. I was informed upon checking in that they are not participants in golfnow and that my reservation was not valid. They honored it anyway but told me it would be cheaper just to have booked through them. Its absurd that golf now has courses on their site which aren't valid. This has happened before. Get it together Golfnow! What a pain. I will be returning to this course but now I am hesitant to book through golfnow (who's fee doubles the price in the and as well).
Easy playing
The course was good to play on. Greens good. Fairways need work, not much grass on them. The summer drought is probably responsible. Still an enjoyable time can be had.
Military Tee Times
Nice course but I book this through Military Tee Times and the course is not set up on their for that website. Not the courses fault, Military Tee Times is just a booking site and has nothing to do with helping veterans.
DONT BUY TEE TIME ON GOLF NOW.
The course is great, staff is great but was told by staff they've been continually trying to be taken off this site and golf now will not comply. DO NOT MAKE A TEE TIME USING GOLF NOW. They do not accept golf now tee times. Had to pay a second time. Tried to contact golf now but it was a Sunday and got no answer. I guess it was only $7 but nonetheless golf now tee times are not accepted here
Surprisingly Great Course
Wasn’t really expecting much when I played this course but it’s actually really nice! 9 holes with 2 flags on each hole so if you’re playing 18 you have different targets the second time around. Was very impressed with the greens. Price was great. Will really test your short game. Lady in the front office was full of energy. Would recommend giving them a visit.
Good course for the money
Fairly easy course for the most part but this is a really nice place to work on your short game. The longest hole is around 180 yards so you will only need a few clubs to play a round here. The greens are bent grass, surprisingly. They are pretty slow but are well maintained considering the summer heat and this being a family owned course.
Take $10 and walk nine holes, you won't regret it. Most days you can play nine under and hour and play a couple of balls since weekdays are so slow.
Staff is super laid back and friendly. They really treat you as a regular even if it's your first time being there.
Wedge course, primarily
This course serves a purpose; it is a place to take kids or beginners to hit some short irons without the issue of beginning golfers on full courses. The greens are nicely sloped, but are really show, not particularly well maintained, and half of them are essentially the same 100 yard length. Considering I play legitimate 18 hole courses for $30, this is not a bargain for an experienced golfer. But, it serves its purpose.
Fun Nine Hole Par Three Course
Great for beginners, and practicing short game. Very friendly staff.
first Time
Took the 13 year old off the range and gave her some targets. Great experience with perfect mix of clubs for her. And i got to hone my wedge play. Family friendly and pace is understood because of that. Going again next week.
