Hills at Pecan Valley Municipal Golf Course
About
The old Pecan Valley muni has evolved over the years as the successful culmination of work between the Army Corps of Engineer, the city of Fort Worth, and the Tarrant County Water Control District. When the city sold the old Worth Hills Golf Course to Texas Christian University, they were able to fund a deal to buy the 27-hole Benbrook Municipal below Lake Benbrook.
The Hills Course was rounded out in 1981 by Dave Bennett, who completed the addition to supplement this shorter, more wide-open course. The course is less lengthy now but water comes into play often, including the 375-yard 2nd hole that doglegs left around water.

Always Steady & Consistent
The River is the better of the 2 courses but the Hills is a good backup, Cost is more than reasonable & is almost always in good to very shape. These 2 courses get a lot of play for good reasons. I recommend them both!
Great course / Great value
Played the Hills side. Greens were excellent and very receptive. Whole course in great condition even with little rain. Highly recommended playing here. Will definitely be back.
Course is in great condotion
Course was in great condition, very happy with pace of play and fairways/greens being in great shape
Really nicely maintained for as much as it gets played
Pecan Valleys gets a lot of traffic. It was really nicely maintained for as much as it gets played. Gyres, fairways and greens really in great shape this spring. Pace of play is always an issue on a nice Friday afternoon but stil got through in 4 hours or so.
Pecan Valley
I must say, I was very impressed by the conditions. I swore I’d never play this course again due to the greens and how the course was from about 6-8 months ago. Definitely need cart girls during the week though!!

Didn’t care
They didn’t care about scheduling. We waited 40min at the tee box. There were too many groups of 6. We left and went to another course down the road.
