Ashbrooke first review
I have played this course with my cousin many times in the past. We both travel a longer distance to get there. Ordinarily we enjoy this course immensely but on Tuesday September 28 they decided to sand all the greens.
This made the greens unplayable. I asked a greens guy why? He said it was applied after ariation.
I have always enjoyed this course except this day.
Worth playing over and over
Corse in really nice shape
Greens lovely
Fairly scenic though not much elevation
The weather was not great at the start and was unpredictable that day. Because of this, there was nobody at the course and we were sent off the back 9. That was great and we finished it in under 2 hours. When we made the turn we got tied up behind some very slow League players which was frustrating. Otherwise, it turned out to be a great day and the course and greens are in great shape.
Freiendly staff Forgiving course
This is an excellent course for the amateur golfer. Challenging and yet forgiving, front nine is a comfortable walk with a little more terrain on the back. Greens were in very good condition. Staffing very helpful. One of the most Women friendly clubs I’ve played both in pro shop stock and attitudes. Good little restaurant.
I’ll be back.
Great course
Ashbrook is a great place to golf. The course is in excellent condition. Owners and staff are great. Fees are very reasonable. The pace of the course is really good. Would recommend if you haven’t tried it, to give it a try because you definitely won’t be disappointed.
Great Round of Golf
Friendly course. Great layout. Well organized. BBQ and food excellent. Ladies league, mixed league and men’s league. Also has friendly family Mimi Putt
Layout is not great but staff is nice and helpful.
It’s a friendly course, the conditions were excellent, greens slow. It is a working man’s golf course with decent value. Overall above average.
Good place worth trying
I think it’s worth trying this course out.
It’s well maintained and I would overall pretty much rate it probably about 4-4.5 which some would think is probably fairly generous.. Not overly special though.
The layout is very open in most places.
Easily walkable it’s a fairly level course and a lot of people walk it.
It was $130 that includes tax for 2 people and a cart which I felt was on the high end of what they could charge but I don’t think it’s a rip off and they offer discounts for 10 game packs, etc.
The course doesn’t play too long and it’s something someone who doesn’t hit that far can enjoy.
Cons: - some would complain about the course being too dry/a dryer firm course. I am fine with the dryness/ firmness but some would not like it too much and a little less dry would probably be perfect. For example on greens you basically don’t make ball marks usually because the greens are so hard / dense usually. I’ve played here twice, once towards the end of last season and once this season beginning of June both times dryness was the same.
- cart fees I feel are way too high in my opinion, I believe it’s 25 for singles and 40 for doubles but I could be wrong. I think that’s the highest it could probably be without people being outraged in my opinion.
I wouldn’t call this a top course, but I would definitely say it’s one you should check out at least once to see how much you like it
Awesome course
