Bloomington Downs Experience
Have played over 500 rounds till date. I consider this as my home course being from Aurora. Lot of upgrades happened since I first started playing here. Good changes. Greens are still bit on the easy side, so not hard to keep the score in the 80s with a little luck going my way at times. Highly recommend this course for average golfers like me. If you are shooting low to mid 90s in St. Andrew's or Cardinal Red Crest, shooting a 85 is very much doable in Bloomington Downs. Course layout is good and for as long as I've been playing here, it still feels great to play this course. Some how doesn't get old. That's a good thing.
Excellent experience for part time golfer
The golf experience was excellent, especially for a part time golfer (only a couple of times on the course this year supplemented by golf simulator and range practice). Playing partners were excellent. Felt welcomed by the more experienced players. Course was in excellent condition and was challenging to play. The pace of play was excelleent as we did not have to wait at any hole. I completed 15 holes owing to some physical difficulties. To summarize, it was a pleasant experience that I would like to repeat.
Poor pace of play today
Marshall was driving around but didn't seem to do anything to speed up the pace of play. Eventually we bypassed the group that was holding everyone up. We jumped in front of them on the 12th and by the time we finished the 18th they were nearly three holes behind us. Typically pace of play is okay so I would still recommend the course but this day was just bad.
Always a good time at Bloomington
A bit slow this Sunday morning; total round 4:45 min. Great conditions for fall, greens freshly mowed and rolled.
Overpriced
Not worth what was paid. Course layout had too many blind spots where it was easy to hit into the group in front of you
Good layout and kept in great condition
Enjoyed the day start to finish. Only issue was the t blocks were very hard to get a tee in. Maybe I’m just too weak!
