They have the right mix of challenging holes for all types of players. I would highly recommend playing. I warn you that it is a busy course and you’ll have players of all skill levels on course. Good players should play from the blues or else all your drives will end up in the sand traps. Game time can range from 4 hrs to 4.5 hrs

Also I would suggest taking lessons with Rob M if you need help with your mechanics. In one session he helped me adjust my grip. My ability to connect with ball for greater distance was noticed immediately. I also brought my 14 yr old daughter who learned how to use a driver in half a session.

You can’t go wrong at RHGC

The weather was cool but the course conditions were excellent given all of the rain that has fallen.

It was cart path only.

I make it a point of playing 3-4 times a year. I had my first hole in one here last year July 16, 2022 4th hole!

Really well kept conditions. It has hole for both beginners and intermediate players. Carts are actually one of the most comfortable carts you’ll drive in.

horribly maintained tee boxes, one hole had us playing off turf on a par 4, no excuse for that on a course at this price. only 2 stops where you can buy a drink.

It was a beautiful course, great service, the lay out was amazing for not losing balls, green was up kept amazingly, little slow but it wasnt the courses fault... Just slow people ahead

The course was nice and the pace of play was good , we did not hold anyone up however the course attendant/marshal kept harassing us telling us to speed up when the people behind us never once had to wait for us to finish a hole, I did not appreciate the course attendant bothering us , it was very uncalled for and it turns out we had to wait for the people in front of us to finish for the last few holes. Finally the price to play at this course is way too expensive

All and all was a decent day on the course. The course was in good condition. Greens were good speed and fairways and rough were in good shape. Only complaint today was pace of play as had to wait on most holes to hit.

Played here early, 7:30 AM tee time to get around in a reasonable time. The course put a shot gun tournament on the back 9 starting early that morning for some reason. When we made the turn is was so backed up. My playing partners and several other groups that made the turn gave up and went in and off the course. I stayed but the round took 4:50 to play. I mentioned it to the Pro Shop, there response was "too bad you got behind the tournament". Odd response for something they booked and knew would clog up the course. This was followed by a dismissive "but you have a good, rest of your day." I won't be back.

I have played the course many times, it is a great challenge for players of all levels. For long hitters there are definitely some attainable greens on Par 4s and almost everyone Par 5 (except for 10) is makeable in 2. Overall I am always pleased with a round at RHGC, I still feel it is overpriced but I can often justify it with it's prime location. It is the only course I can call my wife and tell her I will be home in half hour after walking off of 18 and actually be home in half hour.
