A fun time
Very enjoyable experience, highlighted by friendly and accommodating staff and a well maintained, yet challenging course for beginners. We will come back for sure.
Cart malfunction after 2 holes
Cart died out on 3rd hole. Big inconvenience though they did send out someone with a new cart 20 min later.
Good not great
Pros:
Good course layout
Greens were good
Always nice when there is a driving range and chipping area for practice
Friendly staff
Cons:
Breakfast included does NOT include coffee!!!
Some tight narrow fairways where you need to thread the needle
Golf carts were wet and was not provided a towel to wipe it down
A bit prcey
Tough, for me
It was a tough course for me (a duffer), but still enjoyable
If were not for the bad pace of play, we would have finished. There was about 45 minute delay in total
I was surprised that a course costoing normally 85-100 bucks per round, did not have better course conditions and nice Bermuda grass. This is a fairly expensive golf club and in comparing it with other courses in and around Toronto, I am surprised the carts and course and not in better shape. Windemere Golf Course in Muskoka is comparable in cost, but Windemere is at another level higher and then some. We did have a great game with only playing 16 holes.
No rain check
We got a hot deal, but the rain is heavy at the time we start 5th hole, we try to call pro shop to get a rain check , but they said it has to go to Golf Now.
Course was in bad shape. Greens need to be cleaned from debris at least twice a day especially at this time of year. Sand traps are barren. Too many Corp tournaments with golfers who really aren’t golfers who don’t replace divots on the fairways or greens. If you were not charging the $100 green fee it would be acceptable.
A good course but pace very slow
Not a long course by today’s standard. Well maintained and no problem with fairways and greens. But pace of play is very slow n it took five hours for a foursome. At the 14 hole, the Marshall came up to us and told us that we are 15 minutes late. I told him to go up and check out what’s the problem in front of us as there are two to three teams waiting to tee off at every hole. Never saw the Marshall the whole day until the 14th hole. Check in was quick n staff n starter very friendly n polite. Hope the Marshall can manage the pace better in the future.
