Stittsville Golf Course

Challenging course and in very good condition. On most holes straight is good as there's no place to miss it.

I teed off at 11:00 once the dew had dissipated. The conditions were excellent. The weather was sunny with a light breeze to keep us cool. The refreshment cart was very timely and came around just enough.

Have played this course twice this year. Both times it was in excellent shape. Fairly flat so easy to walk (although we had carts). Pace slowed at 6th hole but marshals were quick to address the situation. Not much advantage when playing off the front tees so plays somewhat long for women. Very good value for the price. Will go back.

The course was in good shape, greens were fast, staff was friendly and by booking on golf now the price was fantastic. Hard combination to beat.

Had a great round there this week. Weather & course conditions were excellent! The course is fairly challenging with some interesting holes including the signature 18th horseshoe shaped green. A couple long Par 3's (180 & 190 yds from the whites) ensure that you have to be able to drive accurately in order to score well. Total ydage. from the whites is 6132.

The green were great to putt on. The pace of play was ideal. The starter was friendly and informative warning us about possible ticks and poison ivy in the trees.
It is a beautiful mature course and well cut under the trees so one can locate stray balls easily.

Decent Track, very narrow in places, give-up the driver once in awhile, plenty of dog legs. Nice set of 3 pars. Only real negative....18th green. A narrow horseshoe around a bunker. Difficult to hit. All in all the more you play there.....the better you can manage your way around.

The course has it's challenges (trees, Water, Sand Traps). I find the sand traps in average shape, sand thick and wet which makes it more difficult to hit your ball out, so rather than hit 2 inches behind, it's better to hit one inch behind. I found the grass in the rough a bit deeper than normal where you can loose your ball easily. The fringe on the greens are also thicker than normal which makes putting out of them impossible, better to use your A wedge or S wedge. However it is a fun course to play.

We paid through Golfnow.com, for 25$ tax included each we both really enjoyed a challenging and not too forgiving course.
Greens were perfect, fairways beautiful and 2nd cut 100% where it should have been. I would golf here for that price every weekend.
Marshalls were amazing, we both work with the public so are both natural "talkers" and they took to us very quickly. Super friendly and one even helped me find my ball on the first hole. Amazing staff. Beer girl was another A++ very sweet and seemed to enjoy the small conversation we had.

Overall, Amazing time. we will be back.

I was a little hesitant about coming here but caught a great deal $25.00 with cart. It turned out to be a great course very flat but a lot of tree trouble so you need well placed shots of the tee as well as long fairway shots. The greens were true and fairly fast and the staff were very good and also the Marshalls did what they are there to do. I will for sure play it again. The three that came with me also enjoyed it!

Try not to tell too many about this hidden gem. Having said that, I think the secret is out, the course was quite busy. (even the staff mentioned it a couple of times) At $5.40 I found the sandwiches quite expensive. Very good conditions, favourable landing zones and good greens helped make this a great day. I'll be back...

Nice track in good, healthy condition. Greens were very good and reasonably quick. Difficult for first time players as the line off the tee and the ideal distance off the tee is not obvious(lots of dog legs). A range finder would be a great help. There are several ditches on the course that are reachable from the tee which is a little frustrating. ... A big driver may carry some of them. All-in-all enjoyable course though.

A pleasure to play a course with well groomed fairways, nice variety of holes and excellent greens. Some holes required thought about club choice and where to land your tee shot. Liked the thought required, but it wasn't too taxing. I certainly look forward to my next round at Glen Mar.

Conditions are great and for the price you can't go wrong. I would much rather play Glen Mar twice the one of the "better" courses once.

hidden gem..greens are really coming along..they are getting quicker and they fall off to the sides to gnarly rough.

Second time carts was not available due to supposedly wet conditions and we had no intimation.

Greens are in great shape. Some standing water on the course due to heavy rain earlier. Will definitely play it again. Should Marshall the course a bit better to help with pace.

Overall for the value, this is an excellent course to play at. Pin selection on Sunday is challenging, as expected, and the course plays fairly long from the whites for the average golfer. Staff is great, marshalls don't bug you and overall it is a great place to play. Only complaint is that the beer girl goes in early so you have to stop in at the clubhouse before your back 9 if you have tee'd off after 2pm. I recommend highly.
