Rolling Hills Golf Club - Challenge

Excellent course for starters/ rookies so to speak.

Lots of room, not long, great for relaxing and game practice. Greens and aprons in great shape...bunkers suck, just pull the ball out.

Rolling Hill Challange is a comfortable and homey golf course for me.

However, today, a very surprising incident occurred.

There were only three men playing golf right in front of us. It wasn't four, but three people playing golf. I could see them playing behind me every hole.

The distance wasn't long, and the golfers would fly the ball left and right.

I thought that might happen, so I waited for about three minutes every hole.

In the first half, the three of us were waiting for the teams in front to tee off at the intersection.( hole 7.)

One of them came to us and told us to don't come to close. So I asked him if he would let us go ahead and if he could just slow down a little. He said no, and if we go forwad , he would aim at me with a golf ball and hit me. I told him to try that too, but he started F word on me. His dress code is not at a level that can be worn on a golf course. His golf skills are such that it takes several minutes just to find the ball flying left or right. If many golfers like this come here, the golf course will have to close in a few years.

It was so absurd that I captured it in a few pictures.

Overall, the greens and fairways were in great condition. The course layout wasn't particularly challenging, but that's fine for the group that I brought.

I'd love to see marshals more present on the course. The course played so so slow. We waited 20 minutes on the 4th tee tee box due to slow players in front of us. As a result, we had a group behind hit into us a few times. Thankfully whoever was causing the issue must have left after nine. Nine holes took us just over 3 hours. The full 18 took four and a half.

The bunkers are all unplayable. Not hard, not difficult. Unplayable. There isn't so much sand as just hard uneven dirt. I'd love to see them get some sand in here.

Finally, no cart girls on a day where it was this hot is a little harsh. I've played all three courses here now and have yet to see a cart girl. I'm happy to spend the obscene markups on a beer or a gatorade to make it worth your while, as would most people be.

We played White and Red Tees. Reds were fine, however many White Tees were just dirt.

Sand traps were overgrown with weeds and lacking any real sand. Much more attention required.

They have GPS Trackers for each group. Nonetheless, the pace was very slow. What's the point of the trackers if not correct this?

Fairways were in OK condition

- Greens were the only thing in good condition

- Fairways were respectable

- many of the tee boxes were shocking

- the bunkers were shockingly bad and unkempt

- the course is 'cheap' but I wouldnt say a fair price. Pay 20$ more for 10x better conditions elsewhere

This was a cow pasture!!!

Tee blocks were mostly dirt!! Bunkers were hard dirt with water in them. May as well been a water trap

Layout of course was stupid.

We picked up our ball after the fourth hole and left. They should have payed us to play on it!
