Bethesda Grange Golf Course

The course was actually in the best condition I've seen in years, so kudos to the greens keepers. As for my criticism, there are 2 par 5's, #3 & #16 that have a water hazard carry of 270+ yards, so if you're an avg. player, you'd be wise to lay up with a hybrid or FW. This unfortunately leaves you with a fairly steep down hill lie towards said hazard, to an uphill fairway, and a likely 360 yards remaining to the green. It's a bit of a tough ask for the less than tour caliber player. Lastly, as your round ends, #17 is typically 230 yds. par 3 and into prevailing winds. Once again, a tough ask especially with presumably tired legs and feet at this point. I actually shot my best round on the year so far (I'm single digit), nonetheless, it made me think about what the average player must contend with. So don't be surprised with some delays on the aforementioned holes, that in my opinion, don't really fit with the other 15 holes.

The only women’s washroom is in the clubhouse which is a long way from the first and 9th hole.

And there was no snack cart and zero time to walk all the way to the clubhouse in between 9th and 10th holes

Not ideal.

The course layout perfectly, absolutely playing there again

This is a very nice course with good layout and conditions. Only problem for our round of slow pace with the group in front of us was super slow with no group in front of them, and they would not allow us to pass them.
