About
Situated on the banks of Lake Rousseau, Windermere Golf & Country Club is at the heart of Muskoka amongst large granite outcroppings and stands of towering white pine. The golf course sprawls across 124 scenic acres, offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside. There are bunkers strategically positioned around the greensides and fairways and water hazards come into play on a few holes. Many holes play right into prevailing winds, adding another challenging element. Windermere Golf & Country Club 's signature hole is the par-3 11th, which features a bunker on the left, a hazard on the right, and wind from every direction. Proper club selection is key on this hole and will be rewarded with a spectacular view.

High end course hunting
Layout of the course was mediocre, all fairways parallel, some tee boxes are hit into and green speeds weren't consistent. for the price I expected more and also the restriction of public only able to play outside of cottage season are 2 big minuses for me and my friends.
More challenging than what it looks
The course was very well groomed, the greens were very challenging with almost every green having difficult slopes that were very hard to read from a intermediate golfer perspective. The layout was the only thing that was a bit disorienting on about two, maybe three holes. Seven and 11 were for sure the two that did not align with the green exit to the tee block entry. But overall it was fun, frustrating and beautiful all at the same time.
Would love to play it again soon.

Played first time this year. Course turf conditions were excellent.
One of muskoka’s finest
This course is one of the better course up in the muskoka lakes area! Had a great fall round! Nice course layout with very findable holes
Rainy day in September
Public play allowed in September. Good but not great for a private course. Not up to standards of other area private courses like Muskoka Bay or Clublink. Good value for $95.
