Rough shape when I played it, but very good course
I assume that the course was in rough shape because of recent weather conditions, but many areas were very very dry and rough to hit. Greens were also pretty dry and tee boxes were not well kept at all. Was pretty hard to even stick the tee in the ground and find a spot of actual grass and not dirt. Fairways were nice and the course layout was great. I enjoyed the hills, the slight challenge with ball placement off the tees and approaches to the greens. Really just wasn’t a fan of the condition it was in when playing, but that’s golf some days and it didn’t stop me from enjoying my round or the course overall! The food was also really good.
Horrible experience
I have played this course off and on for the last 6 years. To say that it's gone down hill and I've never been more disappointed is an understatement. From the start - 0907 tee time. I arrive with my group and find 5 groups waiting. Tee off ended up being 0930. Unfortunately this has been common place a few times before. The course was in terrible shape...bad greens, water logged fairways (they've always had bad drainage) and chewed up tee boxes without a hint of repair in weeks. Not a Marshall to be seen anywhere which was unfortunate because the pace of play was painfully slow. (Ended up being a 5 hour 15 minute round). To top it off it was 35 degrees out and we saw the cart girl once on a day when hydration was a major issue. At the end of the day, I will never play Belleview again, nor will I ever give this course a cent of my money. 1 star is generous.
