About
Copperas Hollow is a semi-private, 9-hole country club that is known for being in excellent condition. The track features rolling terrain with pine trees that can alter shots, generally wide-open fairways, and small, well-manicured greens.
Holes 5-7 are tough enough to test the most experienced golfers. The 560-yard, par 5 No. 6 is sandwiched between what are listed as the two toughest holes on the course (the two longest par 4s, which play almost 400 yards).
This is a great place to play, but beware of larger than normal groups, as a marshal is rarely on the course and it is not unusual to see groups with as many as five or six golfers. The price is right and you can pay once and play all day.
Getting there : From Hwy. 36 west, turn right on County Road 316. Follow this road to the golf course, where you’ll see the entrance off Route 5.

Best Greens this Spring
This course has come a long way the fairways are being cut proper The Tee Box need a little work but the greens are good I'm very impressed 9 hole n the country surpasses any course i played so far this Spring. Keep up the good work
Great 9-hole course near B/CS
Caldwell's Copperas Hollow is one of my favorite courses - for its well-maintained layout and great value.
First Time Golfing in Caldwell Tx
I good course for beginners, not fancy, but perfect for infrequent golfers and players on tight budgets. Mostly friendly people, a few that take their course too serious. No sand traps, no real hazards. Range balls are dead. No real snack bar so bring your own snacks if hungry. Staff is friendly and inviting.
Fun 9 whole course
Wife and I have a great time playing. Some of the fairways were being worked on. No big deal for us. We had a great time. Fernando who works at the check in desk was very friendly.
Hidden Gem
A little 9 hole course, well maintained and tucked away from the highway. Greens in excellent condition.
Good shape for November but no tee boxes
All the tee boxes were closed and tee locations were in front of the boxes. This made the course a lot shorter. Overall the course was in good shape except 1 green and 1 fairway. The 1st fairway was torn up, maybe by hogs. The second par 3 had several bad sections on the green. However it was a fun outing and the weather was great.
Grounds keeper had to call someone in the 4 some ahead me
I was 2 over after five holes and 4 some in-front would not let me play through until the grounds keeper called!
Had to pump the gas pedal on the gas golf cart to get it going! Golf is a luxury and allows me to find tranquility! I can not with a clear conscious recommend this course!
Golf
Sprinklers were on when we teed off and it fairways were in poor shape. Only 9 holes. Cheap but would not go back
Getting Better
Course rough was cut good so you wouldn't loss to many balls. Its not the fanciest course but u get your money worth. If your trying to get better this is the place to play. Nice 9 hole layout and two make able par 5s. No sand traps and a few water hazards
Good course
Decent shape for January. Only complaint was the pin placements on the greens were a little unreasonable. It was impossible to keep balls from rolling off the green. Even on a perfect put. Overall, we liked the course and had a good time. Friendly staff.
