About
Built by Leon Howard in the 1960s, this course is typical of his design approach: a fun, basic course that’s not too difficult. The course is open to the public and the best time to play is during the week, when you’ll often find that you’re one of the only golfers on the course. A fairly open course, the fairways and bent-grass greens are always in excellent condition and the staff is unbelievably friendly.
Getting there : From I-20 east, take Hwy 19 north then drive a short distance to the course. The clubhouse is on the north side of the street.

Wow Great Course
Course was great. Had a wonderful time. Food and staff were excellent. Will come back many times. Drink specials for the day were over the top. Very friendly and helpful from the Pro Shop, the Restaurant and the Bar.
Windy day in Canton
A very windy day which made the course very challenging. Played from the tips and it was very tough going into the winds. Greens were in great shape. Will go back and hopefully without the wind..
Great fairways
Great variety of holes. Gentle rolling terrain with very challenging situations at every turn. Keep it in the fairway!

I think the bermuda greens were as good as it gets.
Some if the par 4 and 5's were long..
Play was fast. we were there on a Sunday afternoon. Very few players on the course.
The lay out of the course is great

This course is playable for all .
Course condition was great . Greens were fast and consistent , they held a good shot. Fairways are tight in places, but fair . You'll enjoy the trip around the course and scenery.
Van Zandt Country Club
This is a long course, So for the big drivers, bring your muscle. The entire outing was great. The course and greens were in great condition and this was a pleasure for a change of pace.I would recommend if your in the area stop by, The club house " The Bunker" was very nice and the food and drinks were great. Everyone was friendly and inviting. This was a very inexpensive day of enjoyment.
