Best in Utah? Could be
I was told by several golfers this was the best course in Utah and after playing it, I certainly can't argue against that notion, though I'll say Sand Hollow to the south certainly challenges. The conditioning on this course is as good as it gets, and Rees Jones really knocked the design out of the park. Lots of cool holes, and if you play it all the way back at nearly 7,600 yards, it's one heck of a test (pretty challenging from 7,100, too, which is where I played it from). Lots of elevated tees, including the par-3 17, where it seems you can see for miles. If you get a chance to play here, take it.
The Tops In Golf Courses
After 30 years of playing golf, only a few golf courses come to my mind in this country that are the "perfect golf course" - - and this is one of them. The terrain is very challenging, the greens very fast, but true, T-boxes were manicured like most greens I've putted on, fairways perfectly cut. If you can ever have the opportunity of
playing in Utah, this is "THE" course to play.
