The golf course at Heather Ridge provides not only a good game but also spectacular views overlooking the Rocky Mountains. The former private, 18-hole course is 6,106 yards at its longest tees and plays to a par of 70. Renowned golf course designer Richard Phelps designed the course, which opened in 1972. The small greens are undulating and extremely sloped. The course also features narrow fairways and water hazards. The most difficult hole on the Heather Ridge Golf Course is the 10th hole, which is a par-5 that covers 506 yards.

First time at Heather Ridge

I played 18 holes with my 2 sons and my cousin. We enjoyed the round. Some of the tee boxes are way too close to houses with only narrow openings straight down the fairway. The greens & fairways were in great condition

Bring your putting game

Although they aim for a pace of 4 hours per 18 we were closer to five hours than four. They had adequate golf marshals but the course was packed with the Denver temp at 100 degrees they were booked solid from opening till noon. As temps cool next month there will probably be less congestion. They are maintaining course nicely (sand traps, greens and fairways) The greens are fast but true but you need to be able to read them; there are NO flat putting surfaces. Good mix of water holes some in front of tee boxes others in front of greens. Roughs are forgiving not to high

Wry unfriendly pro shop lady

The course overall was fine. A couple issues that I had is that the Marshall came by probably 10 times during our 18 hole round never said a word just made you feel very uncomfortable. Upon check-in the lady working in the pro shop was very rude not sure if it’s because I interrupted her breakfast in order to check in or she was having a bad morning anyhow, very rude.
