Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Pines Course
About
The Pines Course is one of three nine-hole courses at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood. The Links and the Ridge are the other two. The courses can be played individually or as three different 18-hole combinations. The Pines Course is named after the mature, tree-covered landscape. It and the Ridge Course make up the original layout at Eagle Ridge G.C. They were built over a sand and gravel quarry that was used to help build the Garden State Parkway in the late 40s. The unique and undulating topography is a result of this. The towering pinelands lend a sheltered feel to the course as well as a challenging element to the game. There are also strategically placed bunkers that come into play along the greensides.

Challenging Deal!
Great course for price. The wind makes tee shots very difficult especially on the links course. Get your tee shot in the fairway and you are looking at either an elevated green protected by bunkers or a downhill shot with bunkers, water, and canyons. Love the challenge of the links course! A must play in my eyes!
great courses to play
LINKS course has a few blind shots which u can't see from tee but will remember the next time played
Preseason review can only get better
Started out waiting for carts as they had many in need of repair. As groups finished carts were assigned. Pace was slow - front nine took 2.5 hrs & the back 2 hrs as some groups left or finished. 2 from our foursome left with 2 holes to play. Greens were aerated and tee boxes could use some work. Hopefully with this rain and warmer weather the course will be back to it's old self.
The grass is still dormant
Due to the cold and cloudy spring, the turf on the tees, fairways and greens is still relatively dormant. Conditions will likely be much better in a few weeks. Some of the bunkers need attention and a few more rakes (too many footprints not raked at mid-day)
Great fun. Beautiful , stunning scenery to golf .
To early in season , may 1st, fairways and greens barren. No grass. Can't wait till its ready. Beautiful. Course.
Nice day at a nice course
Enjoyed the Pine section of the course with woods and many elevated tee boxes. Was sent to the links section for our back 9 and I had a tough go at it (much more challenging and always seems windy). The course is in good shape except for the greens (aerated - bumps)
Course was in rough condition.
This course could not charge more than $50. The course was in poor condition, cart path only was not necessary. The course has an interesting lay out but tee boxes and greens are in poor shape. The last 4 holes in the Links group, 1 to 9, require major attention. Their is significant rough in play that is not marked under the 6, 7 and 8. You could have a great shot under the hole and you loose the ball in the undergrowth. Put some sod and turf under those hole.
Eagle Ridge
27 holes plays like 2 seperate courses, great layout on each set of nines with no two holes alike, there is water with many elavation changes throughout and is usually in good to excellent shape. It has a driving range with seperate chipping and bunker area, the out side patio / bar is nice with views the 18th green and 10th tee to enjoy at the end of the round. I like to play many different courses but play here about 6 to 8 times a year, very nice track.
Interesting course. Kept my attention.
Unfortunately, we played a few days after they punced the greens. However, they still putted true just slow. I liked the course and the staff and would like to play there again.
Great layout
I love this course. The only thing this particular visit was the greens had just been plugged.
Couse had some very challenging holes.
Shot a 90 at this course. Stay out of the sand you can shot a good score which I did. Very hilly which was a good thing, scenic and challenging. Greens were in good shape, for a December 20,2012 day. Greens were challenging.

excellent greens, though to read
this course was easy to find. entire course was in excellent condition. The staff was very costumer friendly and proffesional
Cartpaths only slowed play a bit, otherwise a very pleasant experience, will book again
Great Course
Great course however don't know why it was cart path only last sat. 1st day of december.

Good course
Nice layout and difficult green.Staff is friendly.
I want to go back if I have chance.
nice layout, good conditions
Eagle Ridge's layout and contour is remarkable for a course built on the flat lands near the shore. From the first time I played there I experienced conditions that approached professional,.. from the true-ness of the greens to the turf like quality of the fairways, where taking a divot isn't a wrist shattering experience as it is for most other public courses. It is a little expensive for me during the summer months but in the off season, the price is a perfect fit for my budget, and I could play there every week. If you're a golf enthusiast, and you've not played this course,.. give yourself this gift!
good course nice greens
friendly staff challenging course good value because of golf now
Very good course. You are rewarded for keeping it in the fairways!
A lot of bunkers on Eagle Ridge. Fairways are a little narrow. Greens are generous but tricky. The course is not very forgiving, if you miss the fairways you will have to pitch it back into the fairway, not onto the green. The course was prestine when I played even after a recent airation. The tee boxes give you some great views of the area. I will definitely return to Eagle Ridge!
Nice course
The course is in relatively good shape, but could use a little attention. We played 1-9, then 19-27 (links), we were on the course for about 4 1/2 hours and in the last 2 1/2 hours of playing did not see a food cart in sight. In addition, every hole we came to that was supposed to have water was empty. When we told them that all the water was empty, the answer we got was "oh, they will be filled up by tomorrow morning". Not exactly the right answer!
