Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Pines Course
About
The Pines Course is one of three nine-hole courses at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood. The Links and the Ridge are the other two. The courses can be played individually or as three different 18-hole combinations. The Pines Course is named after the mature, tree-covered landscape. It and the Ridge Course make up the original layout at Eagle Ridge G.C. They were built over a sand and gravel quarry that was used to help build the Garden State Parkway in the late 40s. The unique and undulating topography is a result of this. The towering pinelands lend a sheltered feel to the course as well as a challenging element to the game. There are also strategically placed bunkers that come into play along the greensides.

Solid course
This is a solid course. Give it a shot. You will enjoy it.
Great course can't wait for warmer weather
Great course, staff was excellent, played as a single staff let me go off the back nine to keep the pace. Can't wait for more rounds here!!
One of the best deals in Central New Jersey
This course has the style of a private country club but is a public course. A number of things are great about this course: 27 holes with the holes 19-27 a wonderful links course. It's fun to combine two different types of 9-holes into one 18-hole round. I play from the championship tees where some tees have a high elevation, which I really enjoy. It's one of the best deals in Central New Jersey.
A nice challenge
Good conditions as it is esrly in season, bunkers were not worked, but hey I shouldn't b in em right?
Three great courses in one!
This was the first time I have played at Eagle Ridge. The course was in great shape. There are three separate 9-hole courses at the facility as well as a driving range. Each 9-hole course is different. I played the links course and the ridge course. Both courses were equally difficult with the rolling hills on the links course and the tree lined fairways of the ridge course. I was so impressed with the course and facility I inquired about their different levels of membership. I definitely will be playing this course again!
I wouldn't have played here without the Golfnow deal
I played with the $35 with cart deal through Golfnow and I would do it again in a heart beat. The wind was the biggest challenge that day with gust up to 25-30 mph so playing in those conditions made this course a lot tougher to play in. Especially the Links course holes 19-27 which had no trees and opened to the winds. However, that didn't ruin my day at Eagle Ridge.
The course was in emaculate shape. Every fairway and green was well maintained with greens that rolled true. There was your occasional green covered with leaves but that's what you get for playing in the fall. I highly recommend anyone to give this course a try when a deal strikes, but I personally wouldn't play during the summer due to the rates being so high.
Nice for this time of year
When we arrived the weather was iffy (raining slightly) and they would have let us cancel but we decided to play. Luckily we played the original 18 holes (they added a third 9 a few years ago) which are more interesting and fun. It was a bit slow on the front 9 (four in front of two) but we were able to pass them at the turn. We eventually joined up with the 2 players in front of us (who were waiting on a foursome). Pace of play would have been slower if not for that. Like the course and the staff.
This is a beautiful golf course
This was the first time playing here but it won't be the last ! This course was on my radar screen because it made the Top 40 Public Courses in NJ (NJ Monthly Magazine) and it's close by. It's usually around $85 - $100, so the Golf Now deal was great. I'm going back next weekend !
One of The Best in New Jersey
Eagle Ridge is a 27 hole semi-private course in Lakewood NJ. We played the Links and Ridge nines and they are both challenging and picturesque. Play was slower than I would have liked, but the courses and its views made it well worth the extra time. I've played some of the highest rated public courses in New Jersey and this one belongs in the top 10 !
terrible conditionThe fairways on the Links nine are not in good condition chopped up and cut to short.
The Pines and Ridge nines are interesting but if you have to play the Links nine it is an aberation. Terrible fairways, unreasonable pin placements and unfair.
Hole-to-hole variety between each course
Playing the Links-Pines was great. The front 9 (Links) had challenging holes including blind shots, steep elevation changes, and some narrow landing zones for tee shots and layups.
Changing styles to Pines, I found it to be a more traditional American style. Trees lined the course and was in generally flatter (but some holes had very elevated boxes which was fun).
The greens were fast and true, very well maintained.
Nice Course
Played all 27 holes. The first 18 in 4+ hours. Layout is very nice but some greens a little beat up. Challenging and makes you work a little. Pace of play could be a little faster as the course is pretty much spread out. Discounted Tee time is worth the money. Will play again
Great 27 holes
Very nice course. Links 9 challenging true links style. Pine and ridge tight fairways, nice greens
Nice topographical layout.
Certainly challenging, even from the white tees. Links course fairways still need to grow in and lush up a bit but fine. Couple holes on Links require some prior knowldedge as there are blind tee shots.
Good condition, gimmicky links
Course is nice, well maintained on the front. Back nine (links) was not in as good condition and has several gimmicky holes, I don't think I'd return to play the links 9. Also, for $100, I'd like to see GPS in the carts and a slightly better pace of play. 19th hole has great happy hr, $2 drafts.
very nice course
Lots of challenge. Accuracy is important and the course is very interesting and fun. We played links to ridge. The condition was very good. The house chardonnay is AWFUL so stick with beer or mixed drinks.
27 Holes gets alot of Play
Painfully SLOW too many weekend golfers. NEEDS A MARSHAL to move gollfers along.
Original 18 beautiful layout.
Play this course often. Like the original 18. Do not like the 9 links and was put out there without being told. If I would have known that I would not have played there that day.
this course has three very nice 9s
i,ve been playing this course for the past 10yrs. its a great track with 27 wonderful holes.BUT in season its is so over price (95$)its not worth playing.it would be a great (55$)course
