Cheekwood Golf Club
About
Situated in the heart of Franklin, the Cheekwood Golf Club (formerly known as Fairways on Spencer Creek) is conveniently located only 20 minutes south of Nashville. This popular layout has been ranked as one of the top 10 nine-hole golf courses in Tennessee. Despite being a shorter course, the layout still offers several holes with water hazards and sand bunkers. The tight fairways and rolling terrain also require a fair amount of accuracy. The course has enough challenges as well as enough variety throughout the holes to make it a fun round for more skilled players, which also makes it a great place for beginners to get some practice. Being that the round is usually quick, the golf course is a popular choice for golfers looking to get in a quick round after work.

Great for Iron Work
The staff here is always friendly and accommodating. Driver needed on just a couple holes, but the real thing about this 9-hole track is that it’s an affordable and excellent place to work on your iron game. Greens need some TLC and the tee box on Number 5 is atrocious, but the course is otherwise in respectable condition. Some decently challenging plays that make it moderately challenging in a few spots, but for the seasoned golfer, it’s a place to practice, mainly.
cheekwood
Nice course... always fun when you make your first eagle then and double and triple bogey after. a little confusion on the mobile check in piece with the starter and he sent out a 4 some in front of 4 2 somes so pace was slow... but still a good time!
greatest public course conditions
the grasses were cut and watered perfectly - hole placement excellent. very welcoming staff - great value.
A decent course
Always a nice and easy place to get a quick 9 hole game in, course is never really super up kept, with tee boxes or the greens. Just a very average course at best
Fun little course
I do not play often so I enjoy fairly short courses that do not have a lot of trouble. The only possible downside is the price of $25 for 9 holes. There are similar courses for roughly half the price in the Nashville area but I guess if you do not want to drive this is nice.
Out with the Guys
Great course with moderate holes. Fairway today was wet. The green were very wet. Good layout with some challenges. Plan on coming back.
Love this Course
Cheekwood always delivers a fun round of golf. Despite being only a Par 32, it’s still challenging enough for any level of golfer. Beautiful greens and rolling fairways highlight the course.
This course is fun to play. Although not extremely difficult or long, there are unique challenges on each hole. All of the staff are genuinely friendly people, as are other players on the course. I’d recommend to anyone putting Cheekwood on your list of favorite places to play.
Rough shape; now overpriced
Disappointing that Cheekwood continues to raise prices but has let the course go. Greens were in awful shape, with more brown than green on most. Areas around green are hard pan. Hard to justify $29 to play 9 holes at an executive that doesn’t keep the place up.
