Cheekwood Golf Club
About
Situated in the heart of Franklin, the Cheekwood Golf Club (formerly known as Fairways on Spencer Creek) is conveniently located only 20 minutes south of Nashville. This popular layout has been ranked as one of the top 10 nine-hole golf courses in Tennessee. Despite being a shorter course, the layout still offers several holes with water hazards and sand bunkers. The tight fairways and rolling terrain also require a fair amount of accuracy. The course has enough challenges as well as enough variety throughout the holes to make it a fun round for more skilled players, which also makes it a great place for beginners to get some practice. Being that the round is usually quick, the golf course is a popular choice for golfers looking to get in a quick round after work.

Great little course if you only have time for nine! Very reasonable! New ownership is spending the time and money to upgrade the facilities and the course!
Good little track
Fun little course. Couple of really nice holes. #1 green has been lost and under reconstruction that was a bit disappointing. Not a long course; great for a quick 9. Pace of play seemed to keep moving even though each hole was crowded.
Good for the money
Great 9 hole course. The fairways are narrow and the green are small. Some of the green needs some work, but overall a great 1/2 round of golf. The first hole is a bit confusing as the flag stick is in the middle about 260 yds down. There were no notices or indications from the staff. I would play this course again.
Greens are terrible and the pace of play is super slow
They stack groups too close together so you literally wait for every shot and the greens are in terrible shape right now.
Greens and fairways
Glad to see advances being made to improve the greens and fairways.
Great treat for Fathers Day
My son and I enjoyed Fathers Day with 9 holes at Cheekwood. Had a great time, got rained on , had slow traffic in front of us - 2 hours to play. Enjoyed our round and will return.
Better than expected
I searched for a local course to play for a small business outing. None of us were regular golfers but we were treated like royalty. The course was beautiful, we didn’t feel rushed, and regarding the current COVID scare, everything was clean and ready for use.
Thanks for a great day! We will be back for sure.
See potential, but not worth it
Greens are absolutely terrible. Your ball will bounce all over the place when trying to putt. I stuck several of the par threes and there was NO ball mark. That’s how hard they were. Lastly, fairways felt like playing off a rock.
Good Course to Get Some Practice in
I went there on a Saturday to brush up on my game after not playing for a few months. It’s a short course but wide open fairways helped me from the tee box. After waiting on the first tee box, there was little to no wait at each hole to tee off. Fairways and rough were well groomed. Water on certain holes added a little more difficulty to the round. Overall a great experience to get some practice in. Totally worth the price I paid. Just a couple things... Greens were pretty rough and It was difficult to gage distance without markers. But those issues wouldn’t defer me from playing another round there.
Quick, fun course
I've played this course many times, as it is close to my home. I see that they are located in a flood plain and therefore cannot really do much about the conditions of the course. I think they do the best with what they have. It's kind of bare bones in the pro shop, but I wouldn't expect anything different from a little 9 hole course. I always enjoy playing here even if the grounds are a bit rough.
