About
Situated in the heart of Franklin, the Cheekwood Golf Club (formerly known as Fairways on Spencer Creek) is conveniently located only 20 minutes south of Nashville. This popular layout has been ranked as one of the top 10 nine-hole golf courses in Tennessee. Despite being a shorter course, the layout still offers several holes with water hazards and sand bunkers. The tight fairways and rolling terrain also require a fair amount of accuracy. The course has enough challenges as well as enough variety throughout the holes to make it a fun round for more skilled players, which also makes it a great place for beginners to get some practice. Being that the round is usually quick, the golf course is a popular choice for golfers looking to get in a quick round after work.

Poorly managed and overpriced...

It is over priced, and is not consistently maintained, as the greens seem to always have some issue on a few of them, and there are only nine holes., so...
The greens are usually not ready for play for the earlier teetimes, whether it is leaves and debris, or morning dew.
And when you’re only playing nine holes for $25-$30 for nine holes, depending on whether you book direct or through Golfnow, you usually walk away unsatisfied from the experience.
Great Course
Had a great time on a great course. Narrow fairways allowed me to work on my golf game. Staff was very friendly. I rented lefty golf clubs and they were excellent.
Too many par 3
For the price of 54 dollars for 18 holes (playing 9 holes twice) I was expecting a solid course, but there were 4 par 3 that were all 110 yards long and 5 shorter par 4.
Our Nine Hole Go To
My wife and I have been playing at Cheekwood since summer time. It is a beautiful little course and very well maintained. As beginners we enjoy the fact that the course is on the short side. We can typically get around in less than 2 hours. If your looking for a quick round on a great course Cheekwood is a great choice.
Fun course with son
This is our go-to course for play with my son ... good condition ... friendly staff.
Slow play but fun
Had a 3 pm tee time and didn’t tee off until 3:40 pm. Huge back up at first tee. Staff was very accommodating to refund for holes not played but still frustrating when you want to get 9 holes in and can’t because of overbooking. The price is expensive for pace and quality. Greens were in rough shape. About same price to play 18 holes of top rated public courses area. You can get a much better value at other courses in the area.
