About

Holes 18
Type Semi-Private
Par 70
Length 6032 yards
Slope 113
Rating 69.3

Mission West Golf Club (formerly known as Meadow Creek in the Valley) is an 18-hole, semi-private facility that offers two differing nines laid out in a scenic portion of the Rio Grande Valley. While there is no water on the front nine, the back nine has eight lakes that come into play.

The hole to watch out for is the 485-yard, par 5 No. 16, featuring a pond in the middle of a dogleg-left fairway.

Getting there : From Hwy 83 west, turn right on Los Ebones Road, then head back across the overpass south. Look for the signs to the course.

Course badly needs attention

This course is a great track but through the years the conditions have varied wildly. I am sorry to say that currently it is in very rough shape. The greens were ok but the fairways only have patches of grass and are mostly just weeds. At present you can lose a ball in the fairway.

The greens were rock hard and patchy as well.

Very disappointing but at least it didn't cost very much money.

The course needed some attention.

Holes 1-4 seriously needed some attention. There was very little grass and more hardened dirt. 5-18 were much better. The course had to much weeds and fairways needed to be mowed. Easily could lose balls in the rough. It seems like there was no irrigation system in them first holes. I hate to see it in the summer with 105 degrees.
