Tierra Del Sol Golf Club

About
Of the three golf venues available in Pharr, the best option is the recently renovated Tierra Del Sol. In the summer of 1999, the course upgraded the irrigation system, replaced the grass on the fairways and greens, and added 25 new bunkers.
Wind and water are the primary hazards. In fact, water comes into play on most holes. The signature hole is No. 5, a 400-yard-plus par 4 with water along the right and out-of-bounds on the left. If you catch this one into the wind, you can bet on no better than a bogey.
Getting there : From Pharr, take Hwy 281 south for 2 miles to the course.

Course gone downhill
This was once a beautiful course, great layout and good to great condition. I have not played it for 3 years until now and it is a shame the fairways are totally ruined. It is almost impossible to find any grass, and the tiny amount found is totally brown. There are huge cracks all over the fairways. The greens are in good shape, but the fairways are a disgrace.
Don’t waste your money, go somewhere else.
Great course
The greens where actually fast and nice for being in the Valley. Course was well kept and the tee boxes were leveled. I feel like the course caters a lot for shorter hitters but if your long and accurate you can really do some damage on this course. Hands down a lot a fun!
In great shape
With our recent rain this course was in excellent condition. Fairways & greens were very good.
It's a fun track and I'm glad to see that the city of Pharr spent the money to upgrade the facilities and course. It's easily worth the $23 fee.
Fifteen water holes makes this a challenge
Yes the course is under construction to make it an even better track. I have always found the staff both inside and out, second to none. The management has turned this course from average to above average and a point of pride for the City of Pharr
Course being renovated....pro shop guy terrible
I wondered why the green fees were so low . I was never told over the phone or when I arrived that the course was being renovated.....Now I see why. Thanks for the heads up to the guy in the pro shop who I talked to over the phone and who took my money in the space of 2hrs(it was the same guy) never said a word. Because of this I wont return and will spread the word See you in about a year when renovations are complete and you have better personnel in the pro shop
