Great condition for this time of year.
This course was in Great shape for this time of year. The greens were much faster than I expected them to be considering all the rain we'd had recently. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. The best part was the free use of a massage chair after the round. Only minor hassle is the border lines on the weekends so best to play during the week. A definite bargain through GolfNow.
Great value and pace of play
Really nice course layout and plays well considering all the rain lately. Will definitely go there again soon.
Winter Golf
Point Roberts G. C. Is one of the best winter courses in the Vancouver area. Drains well and the greens are always in good shape
Nice place to have a golf round
Nice fairways, very challenged greens, quiet place close to the ocean make you so relax, maybe that's why I had my best round for this year even with the wind 50-70 k.
Best Course in Lower Mainland !
Great layout,
Errant shots will be punished and you must read greens thoroughly.
You need to know manage your game, play conservatively or play aggressively.
Fun course for everyone.
The course is in rough shape
I think this is one of the best layouts in the area and I used to love to play here. Unfortunately, the management has really let the course go downhill in recent years. It's obvious that they are not putting any money back into the course and it's really too bad. I will only play here now when there is a really good deal on the green fee.
Point Bob
One of our favourite layouts... an excellent track.
The only real issue was the state of the tee boxes. It would be better to hit off the mats rather than the sand box that we played on yesterday. The course had just been aerated. But the tee boxes were in such a mess that it was difficult to make that important first shot per hole and the damage being done to those tee boxes must be significant. Had a marvelous day and consider Point Roberts one of the best!
VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY Staff
No Other course charges to book on line.
It IS my FAVORITE COURSE to play in the Delta Atrea
Staff (TAD) is super in giving top service to everyone who comes thru the door.
A good value and challenge across the border
A fun course for under $50.
It is nearly 6900 from the tips and the trees and design keep it challenging but fun. The fairways are generous enough, but don't miss, as the trees are punishing. You truly feel like it was carved out of a think rain forest.
There were not many golfers out there on a Sunday afternoon, allowing out twosome to play in under 3.5 hours.
I will be back to play again.
Poor conditions and worse Marshall
Course conditions were horrendous. Tee boxes are more like bunkers. A lot of the greens are severely damaged. Marshall was rude and not doing his job. Parked his cart at my right to talk to a friend of his in our group and then lectured me for hitting without warning him. Ah, maybe pay attention???
He even joined our foursome for a few holes and slowed us down. Kept talking while I hit. I had a bad hole and I can overhear him ask my wife if I have been playing like that all day...this guy couldn't be more rude.
First time at point Roberts
Had a great round, 4 hours, challenging first time to play . Look forward to playing next time
Great afternoon escape, a bit of recent damage
It took us until the 15th hole before finally catching up to anyone, so it felt like the course was ours. Since last month there has been some unexplained burnt & dried patches. Overall a good tight course
Great location and layout but a shame
Have played many times, you need to keep the ball in the fairway (only hit driver 5 times off the tee) and below the hole, play smart and you can score. It is a shame that such a great layout and venue doesn't have better manicured fairways and quicker, truer greens. Many burnt areas on both the greens and fairways but it is so beautiful and quiet there, great deal for $30 on Golf Now. Bring lots of balls and keep it straight and enjoy the beautiful setting, the best sandwiches and cookies around, highly recommended.
No Water
This will be the last time I play Point Roberts. The course has deteriorated to near unplayable levels - the fairways are dead, the greens are diseased, and there is no evidence of any care and attention. It is obvious that they no longer water the course - fine for March but not for August. What a shame - this course used to be in immaculate condition and was a treat to play. No longer - very sad.
Great value
Great value for the $. Firm fairways, greens are true. Multiple tee boxes allows for challenging round for every level. Will definitely play again.
Great Day…….
Keep it between the trees and its going to be a great day……
A few tee boxes and a few places on the fairways in sketchy shape but other than that the course was in amazing shape.
Lots of deer to keep you amused while you watch your buddies struggle……lol
Great 8th Hole
Course needs to spend some money. Tee boxes in poor shape, fairways burned out, greens had some disease. Liked the design and the difficulty. Its been 5+ years since I last played the course and it has declined significantly. Without my GolfNow discount I would have been upset but with my GolfNow discount I received good value.
I >heart< Point Bob
Point Roberts is one of my favorite courses. I have played all over the Americas, including the Pebble Beach courses, Aviara, and Troon North. I always make a point of playing it when I am in the Vancouver area. Some very unique holes, a good combination of long and short par 4's, a great par 3 (#8) up to an elevated green. This is not a bomb and gouge course, some holes require a well placed tee shot, often with less than driver. Staff has always been friendly when I have played there. The restaurant is okay, they make a decent sandwich, but I don't go there to eat. There is a decent practice putting green, practice bunker, and limited driving range facilities, but more than adequate to get you warmed up. I would call this a hidden gem. Carts are available, but it is an easy course to walk.
Great track
Every time I play here I'm not disappointed. The stall is excellent and friendly. This is a true test of golf and when your having a good round disaster lurks at the next hole. Fun course to play and I never tire of the challenge. Great grounds crew too!!
A Fair Test
This course lets you use most of the clubs in your bag. The fairways are not too narrow to use driver but you will pay the price if you miss them. Local knowledge is an asset and we look forward to our next round. The grounds crew were friendly and considerate in not using their equipment while we were hitting.
