Good Course!
Enjoyable Layout, but bring your bug spray! The Mosquito's were brutal, I haven't seen that many of the blood suckers since back in Ontario!!!
The experience would have been A-Plus if the Pro shop staff had forewarned about the bugs and offered to sell some spray!!!!!!
no waiting
staff was very helpful. we arrived 1 hour early and they let us go right away Well Done!!!!
Course in great shape
Great day - Very enjoyable walk - Greens in excellent shape .
Don't golf here
Course was in decent shape. Pro shop forgot we paid when we checked in and us to pay again. Food staff were useless and food was horrible. Marshall was a jerk. Asked us to try and keep up when group in front just hit onto green and we were teeing off on a par 4. No food or beverage cart came around. Save $55 US and go to bellingham area and play padden, north bellingham or any of the other great courses there.
a hidden gem
Hidden away in Point Roberts, Wa. is a little gem of a course where deer graze on the side of fairways and the eagles soar overhead. The course is a good layout in the lush forested area and the greens are very challenging.
A very good day.
Great Course to Play
Very walker friendly course. Flat terrain. Very challenging course with lots of sand bunkers. Water comes into play on a few holes. No.7 par 3 is a very tricky hole, situated up high with a row of sand bunkers out front an fairly narrow green.
Great value for the money.
Give it a round
I had a great time at point Roberts. Tree lined fairways but not too tight, lots of nature and no traffic noise. Nice layout and very friendly staff. The only complaint I had was we played on a Monday afternoon and the round was close to 5hrs. That being said with the peacefulness of the course and good condition I would go back for another 5 hour round.
Lousy Customer Service
Upon checking in at the so called "Pro Shop" our greeting consisted of a scruffy lady with her foot on the counter who completely ignored us while talking on the phone (turns out it was her manager "Tad" she was talking to). She could have cared less that we were standing patiently waiting to check in. We went in to the snack bar to get help and were told we would have to wait for her to finish talking on the phone. When she finally decided to hang up and greet her customers she was more concerned with arguing with her customers than giving any kind of customer service. Then she double charged us for our cart and wanted to argue about that as well. When it was pointed out that the course was very hard to find because of no directional signs she argued about that too. Told us that there is only one golf course in Point Roberts so we shouldn't have had any trouble. Didn't start off what should have been a nice round of golf too well. Have since tried to contact the "Manager Tad" 3 times with no return phone call
Tight Fairways
If you hit a straight ball, you can score well on this course. If you have a tendacy to slice or fade you will be adding penalty strokes for lost balls.
Always Fun!
The course has a great layout & the greens were fast . It's tight fairways & strategically placed "trouble" make it a fun challenge on any day.
Wildlife is spectacular
Starts easier with wider fairways before narrowing on the back nine.
Blue and Gold Tees make the course harder with accurate tee shot required.
Greens were acceptable and showed their breaks with missed putts.
Hidden gem
This was my first time playing here. It started with the attendant at the register being very helpful and ringing us through quickly. We were early and he sent us out right away. Every hole is challenging, stunning and playable. Definitely use your course management here. The greens were as good as I have seen in the lower mainland. This is one of the "must play" courses!
course improved
Played as a foursome in 4 hrs with dry conditions even though it had rained the previous night and the morning of' our tee time.. It's always sunny at point Bob. Course conditions have improved since last year when our group indicated we would not return to course as fairways had deteriated such that some fairways were 50 % dirt. There are still some rough areas on some of the fairways such as 13 and 17 but the course had worked hard in the off season to bring course back to playability. Course was struggling with no. of rounds played dropping and negative comments. The course though it needs to continue to improve fairways, greens and traps is definitely back on our list of courses to be played and enjoyed.Course is still scenic and is fun to play with interesting routing of holes. Many eagles were spotted during our round..
Well worth playing
The course is always playable and has great drainage. The course always moves at a good pace.
excellent greens
Played whites and some tees were a little bare as
well as some fairways but is early in the season so
unfaire to criticize this early. Easy to find your way around the course and no unexpected blind shots.
Enjoyed the round
Great day of golf
Course was in great shape. All fairways were totally dry which can be hard to find at this time of year.
An interesting and challenging course.
Worth the drive and the line-up !
Course was in good shape.
great drainage. Greens are recovering nicely. Worth the drive.
A great any leave course
Other than some of the hole being frozen, plays almost as good as early fall. Will play again next season.
Wow, I was surprised this year. I have to say that the course is in excellent condition this year, specially the fairway with great improvement. Many thanks to make it great 4**** course right now, enjoyed a lot.
