Nice course Needs signage
The clubhouse is in the lower part of the back of the building. No signs. I had to call to find it. Cart path needs directional signs and tlc. The path was extremely rough in several areas. Nice layout. Fairways and greens were in good condition. Tee boxes were wonky. Nobody helped me find anything. I had to ask where hole 1 is. Didn’t even know they had a driving range until after I started. Nice practice putting green. Good value. Nice course. Go there if you’re not looking for a 5 star.
Decent Course, Bad Pace of Play
The course is decently maintained for winter season and has a good layout. The cart paths are in bad shape. But this course gets a negative review for pace of play and attitude of other players. Multiple very slow 5-somes, but there were also a number of fast players who would play in on you while you were keeping pace with the slow group in front of you. Extremely frustrating.
Not Crowded
This course has been a perfect place to practice. I don’t have any golfing friends here so I’m forced to play by myself.. The golfers here don’t mind singles and offer you to play through. Hopefully soon I can join up with some of the regular golfers. Also easy to book and a large driving range. The putting green also well kept. This course will not disappoint.
Really Good Course
I just started playing golf about 2 months ago and have 6 different courses and for the price (if you use Golf now) than this is my favorite course for the money, layout, design and quality. If you are in the Deep east Texas area (Nac) then stop by and play. They also have really nice carts with the touch screen monitor that shows the hole layout and distances.
Fun Challenge
Had a good day even though I was no playing my best. I was still able to score 85. The course i
Not bad but not great
Greens were very good. Fairways not so great,
Lot of blind shots, so if you have never played its challenging, along with narrow fairways.
Great layout and elevation changes
Course was in great condition - Greens were a little slow, but pure. Great bang for your buck here - A lot of elevation changes makes this a welcome change from the flat courses around Houston! Will definitely be back
Love our Home Course
This is our home course and play at least once every other week.
It is a great layout and the "Amen Corner" will leave you wondering if there is a God.
Lumberjack
This course was tons of fun. Got an 8am tee time and it was wide open. The fairways had been mowed recently and the grass clippings were every where but with the rain that’s understandable, still excellent lies and as the day proceeded the grounds crew had that all cleaned up. Greens were nice, at first a little slow, but once the dew evaporated they had some movement and pace. No matter what I threw at the green they were firm and you need to be creative in chipping. This is a playing position type of course with decent elevation changes, adding the whole hero shots thrown into the mix made for a fun a challenging day. The staff in the clubhouse were super friendly. She literally checked you in and got your cart. This is a sleeper, give it a go. Lots of fun.
Great course when it 's dry
Lumberjack is in great shape. First time to play that it was not cart path only for the most part due to large amounts of rain.
Fairways and greens are in great shape.
Very nice course. Play there weekly
This is a very nice course. It would be so much better if they had a better drainage system. Several holes hold water for days after a rain. The layout is very nice. Driving range and putting green are very good, especially the putting green. Golf carts have gps and Bluetooth which is great. The par 3's are deceptively difficult. There are several holes that offer great birdie opportunities. The bunkers could use some TLC. I enjoy playing here for several reasons, it's less than 10 minutes from home, tee times are easy to get, staff is super helpful and nice. Give it a try
2nd time was better
Really enjoyed our day. This was the second time to play this course and we had a much better idea on where to place the ball.
Course was wet on the back 9 due to the large amounts of rain recently, but it will be in great shape when it dries out.
Nice course, really enjoy playing there
layout is nice, my only major complaint is the poana grass growing on the majority of the greens, and one of the par 5's on the back nine is an absolute bomb site. I will keep playing here regardless. Made my 1st ever hole in one today.
