Golf course was nice.
Golf course has a nice lay out, It's a ball placement course that rewards accuracy more than distance. Pace of play was great. Played a 3hr round, Staff very friendly and accommodating. Will play course again.
Enjoyable course
Course has well kept and nice greens.
Has too much distance variance between red and black tees. Offers too much of an advantage to players playing black tees vs. red tees.
GREAT PLA E
FUN COURSE GREAT ONDITIONS
Poor management of player on course
This was my first time to play the course. My friend, who was with me, had played the course once before. He had told that it was very nice. I was very surprised how nice the course was and how tough it was also. However, once we got to hole # 13, we ran into a group of EIGHT (8) players playing together. Since we were just two, we would catch them at every hole. They never allowed us to pass them. Apparently, they were playing two teams against each other. They did not practice "golf etiquette". This delayed our completion of our play by over an hour. No one from the club house ever checked on them. Very disappointed with this part our playing the course.
Aptly named
This is a pleasant course. Interesting layout but several holes didn't fit my eye well and was difficult to determine direction with prominent trees obscuring doglegs. Greens suffered from being punched several weeks ago, fairways slightly below average due to turning seasons. That said, it's a pleasant course and could be challenging from the tips. Great restaurant.
strange course
we checked in quickly, but had to wait as they had another person booked with us, but he did not show. in front of us was 2 adults playing and they brought 2 kids with them, age 5-6 or so, all in one cart. ???. the course is flat. tee blocks, fairways are in rough shape. the greens are in fairly good condition, but run fast and slow. on many holes there are oak trees in the middle of the fairways, so if you hit your ball straight down the middle aiming for the 150 pole, you end up with a tree between you and the green. i know, it is what it is. we definitely not go back, not worth the drive from san antonio.
great greens
greens were in excellent shape. lots of leaves. fair but challenging
The course lives up to it's name...pleasant
I stopped in after seeing this great looking course from the hiway. Friendly staff, attentive and knowledgable. The course was in quite good condition and the greens rolled true. I liked the forward tee boxes for us older players. It's obvious that the members and regular players take care of their divots and respect golf cart proximity to greens and soft areas...I look forward to playing it again as well as it'sister course about 15 miles away..
Great for golf now special
The course was in very good shape for the this time of year. Looking forward to playing it in the summer, fairways should look great.
Nice Course, Lots of Trees
Grass was in great shape, especially for November. Greens were good also. Course has almost no rough. Some of the fairways were quite tight due to overhanging, large oak trees. Very little sand or water. A nice place to play, and a good value for the money.
Great course for a great price
Course was in great shape, always challenging with the oak trees throughout the course. Went to eat at the restaurant afterwards and the chicken fried ribeye was excellent.
Club in the Country not a Country Club
Sad to say this course has gone down hill since they improved the clubhouse. Not because they course was in bad shape but because of the antic they allow on this course. Play is slow on any given day because they allow groups of 6, 8 or 10 are allowed. Don't expect a quiet round either. It's not uncommon to hear music blasting from golf carts across several fairways. Don't expect management to intervene in anyway, they endorse the behavior.
Love the course.
The Golf Now price made it well worth the hour + drive to play.
A great place to spend an afternoon.
Easy to find, in good shape, the Pleasanton golf course is a good value. Not too long or crowded, it was a fun place to play. The fairways and greens were well maintained and in good shape. They have leveled the old clubhouse and starting on the new one, but that does not take away from the course.
