Down from 20 years ago
I was a member at the course in 2000. At that time the conditions were stellar. Many areas in fairway and rough are missing grass. Some greens have a mixture of grass which knocks putts offline. Some bunkers need more sand as they was very little sand in a few. Needs some TLC to get back to previous conditions.
Scorcher
Played late morning as it was beginning to heat up. Course was in pretty good shape. Greens are faster than they look. Due to the hot and dry conditions of late in the area, the course is getting pretty firm. There were frequent high bounces, including in the fairway. Some balls bounced at least 15 ft in the air and extreme roll out. Just needs a few days of rain. They have a nice practice area that includes a short game area. First time playing there in just over 10 years. Would lake to play again after the course sees a little water (rain). My playing partner got his first ACE on the Par 3, 6th Hole.
Windrose
App is great considering the fact i don’t have my range finder.. i love the application
The course has wide fairways
One of my favorite course in the Houston/Spring area, always in great shape, drainage is great, I love to play this course
Too many 5-somes and slow 4-somes.
Overall the course was in great shape - however pace of play was horrible. Two 5-somes and very slow 4-some made for a 5 hour round and marshalls were no where to be found....
This course has great fairways and greens.
This was my first time playing in this course and I was truly amazed with the conditions and layout of the course. I would definitley come back again as time permits.
Rainy day
Unfortunately the day we played started of with a downpour which made the course a little soggy.
The course was in reasonable condition considering how dry its been.
My only complain would be that they need more marshals out on the course to maintain the speed of play.
