About
The track here along Lake Livingston weaves around eight man-made lakes, with holes that roll through skinny, pine-tree lined fairways routing to averaged-sized greens.
The par 5s stand out for their length, one on each side. No. 8 is ranked number two in terms of difficulty, but plays 590 yards, while the toughest hole is No. 12 at a mere 569 yards.
Getting there : From I-45 north, take Hwy. 19 towards Trinity. When you come to Hwy. 94, turn right drive down FM 356, then turn right again and drive 3 miles to the course. The course is on the left side.

Good Value on Hot Deal
The coarse is a little overpriced IMO at the regular price all things considered. At the Hot Deal price its a great value. The coarse layout is not very exciting but the pace of play is good. It’s a fun middle of the road coarse that’s in pretty decent shape. At full price however, I go play at Raven’s Nest.
Know What You’re Getting
Got a hot deal for $10 ($14 after fees). Played by myself and got a full 18 holes in 2 hours.
Course is in rough shape, but not unplayable. Greens were probably the worst feature.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad day of golf. Just know the $10 hot deal was about right as far as what I’d be willing to pay to play it again.
Poor drainage
With 1” rain three days prior, the back 9 was closed. The uneventful front 9 were saturated and CPO. The pace of play in the afternoons is unmanaged. We had a foursome with two kids and two adults in front of us. No courtesy play through. The adults (members) were not playing at all but the kids were playing three balls each. Very frustrating. We left frustrated and were unable to finish our round.
Nice course
Course improves with added cart paths. Fairways in good shape considering recent rains. The greens were fast and rolled true. Enjoyable round of golf.
Nice course
Played for the first time. Considering all the recent rain, the course was in playable condition. Played the front 9 twice. The greens were in very good condition. Really enjoyed the course and will be back.

Course is nice staff are friendly I moved to Texas from California very impressed with the layout of the course greens are slow but you can’t let that change the way you enjoy a course and the beauty of its layout and surroundings I’ve played at hundreds of courses and I’m a scratch golfer I still enjoyed every hole on this course
Awesome Course For The Money
We had a great time on the course. The staff was very friendly and the pace of play was phenomenal. For the price that we paid I'm not sure you can beat it. Greens were a little slow but rolled true. Absolutely plan on coming back.
Best shape I've seen at West Wood Shores, Trinity, Tx.
All greens were in excellent shape, ball rolled good and they were slow. Lot's of grass in the fairways. Tee boxes were also in good shape.
Great value, fun coarse and great 19th hole staff!
The narrow fairways render accuracy a must. The roughs are really "rough", or, perhaps I'm just in them too much! The coarse is in good shape, the weather and time of year are what keeps them from being great. Some areas are still pretty wet but again, this area has received a LOT of rain. I thought it was as good as the staff could possibly make it. They are not responsible for ground saturation! The ladies at the 19th hole were very friendly and the food was really good. All in all, its a GREAT coarse with friendly and fun people, good carts and a laid back atmosphere!

I'd heard it was a hidden gen. So, my son and made 2 hour drive from Galveston. It was well worth the trip, the entire course was in excellent condition.
NIce Course
I really enjoy this course, well maintained. 19th Hole and John in the pro shop are very friendly. I would and have recommended Westwood Shores Golf Course.
Great value
The course is in great shape excellent conditions several challenging holes. Staff is wonderful. It's a great value and unseen gem!
