Riverwood opened in the 1970s, designed and built by the Barlow family. As you might expect, the par 71 6,771-yard track is carved out of the thick East Texas pine forest. The best feature of this 18-holer is that you can pay once and play all day, cart included.
Getting there : From I-10 east in Vidor, exit Hwy. 105 and turn right. Drive about 5 miles over two sets of tracks, then the road veers right. Continue straight down the narrow road and turn left and the intersection. Drive to Eagle Street and turn right.
