Golfer Reviews
A gem
Probably the most undulating greens I have ever played. Hardly a hole that didn't have some wild dips and dives. Back 9 needs some time to mature but a great layout with some unusual holes.
Trestle creek is prime
Very nice course for being so new, only gripe is the back 9 greens roll about half as fast as the front, elevations changes and challenging must make shots on multiple holes. Very enjoyable
lovely
The course is in great shape. Sadly there was a group of 8 in front of us, really slow play!
The back nine opens today, can't wait to try it.
Anticipating new 9
Continues to be one of our favourites. We can hardly wait to try out the new nine - Creekside - available August 4.
Great front nine, can't wait for new back nine
Course is in great shape. Good mix of dog legs. Par 3's are short but you can't put it in the wrong place or you pay the price.
The 9th is tricky but good chance at eagle for a short par 4. Got to hit a solid tee shot or you could go from an easy looking birdie to bogey.
If the back nine is similar, a great 18 hole course.
Definitely going back.
Great golfing!
What a beautiful course! Spectacular shape always and challenges for all levels of golfers.
Open course
Fairways are great for recreation golfers, greens are fast and undulating
Hidden Gem
Was very surprised with the quality of the 9 holes we played. Greens were great. Punishes you with errand shots. Lost a few balls in the thick grass. Bit of target golf. Can't wait to play it again when the back nine is complete.
great track!
good conditioned course.greens are very tricky, undulated and multi-tiered.whites may seem short but correct choice.blues were much tougher.one hole you drive thro' a suspended caboose to reach t-box.18 holes in august.
Excellent value for the money
Played on a Monday afternoon with 2 friends, not too busy, so very little waiting at each hole. Course in very good condition, especially the greens! Hoping to play the back 9 sometime later this summer when it opens, for now though, not a problem to play front 9 twice! Staff very friendly and we all agreed that our dinner afterwards at clubhouse was delicious! Great menu choices, reasonably priced. Overall, a wonderful day, and I wholeheartedly recommend you try this course!
P.S. Bring a few extra balls as there is some water and deep rough. I did appreciate the fact that the ball washers were full of soapy water on each hole, so that if you find your ball or someone else's you'll be able to clean it, Ha ha!
Fun Track
Dozen times here now and have had good golf and friends who say the same thing I do, you got to play Trestle, can't wait for the NEW 9 to open. Great shape, well Maintained. Best to date.
A diamond in the making !
This course is amazing ! I cannot wait for the rest of it to open up! Fairways and greens were in unreal condition! Nobody likes hitting the bunker, but these bunkers were fun to play out of with the sand being so soft. Will definitely be back to Trestle Creek in the near future !
Definitely worth the trip, can't wait for next 9 to open.
Definitely worth the trip from Edmonton, great mix of holes, including a great risk-reward/drivable par 4, strategic par 5s and good diversity in par 3 length. Unlike too many courses these days, the bunkers are not easy. Strategically placed - a hazard to be avoided the way bunkers are meant to be. This facility/resort will be incredible once everything is finished. The nine holes we played (twice around) and the bonus island green hole were all phenomenal. The highlight are the green complexes - in excellent shape and feature a great deal of undulation.
uncrowded today, Played ten holes twice, lovely day!
This was worth the drive - especially with the deal from Golf Now. Watch for the sign on the left as you travel west on hway 16. We were a slow group but enjoyed the experience because we had the course to ourselves. The well groomed course with a variety of tee boxes, and challenging greens made the trip worthwhile.
GEM IN THE WOODS
One of the best courses in the area. Great country setting. Well maintained , friendly staff. Will definitely
play this course again.
In great shape
The green's are in great shape as well as the Fairways. They have lots of water and have used it well.
The greens do have a lot of undulation which is both challenging and fun.
Also the bunkers have lots of sand and seem easy to hit out of.
Worth the drive
Very challenging course with meandering creeks and undulating greens. Conditions are always great - tee boxes, fairways, and greens. Creekside nine were supposed to be open this year but got delayed to next year and I can hardly wait.
Course not fully opened
It was very disappointing to have booked the tee time only to realize that only 9 holes were available. Other than this set back the course is in great shape and when the holes are available to play I will most likely be back.
Happy guests
Our guests enjoyed the excellent condition of the course plus the feeling of being 'out in the country'.
I was discouraged from booking directly with the person at the front desk who said that it would be easy and better if I used the internet to book the tee time. Golfnow.com was absolutely horrible so I am still annoyed with the person at the front desk who basically refused to take my request for a tee time.
