Bunker practice, White Sands National Monument Photo submitted by DYakimec on 03/01/2019
Fantastic course in Las Cruces
A great course in perfect shape. Staff was very friendly and course workers were adding new sand to all of the bunkers. A great deal was found on teeoff.com for $25 with cart. A must play if you are in the area.
Sonoma Ranch golfer view of course
Sonoma Ranch golf course has been through a lot in the past year. It has gone down from its heyday. We’re told things are being worked on but we must be patient. I think being patient would make sense if there was a bigger discount on rates. We’re told that they are allowing the grass to grow before cutting it. But why are the weeds along the fairway being allowed to grow before cutting it them?
Bunkers
The bunkers have improved,, have more sand,, Be nice to get all the gravel our of them. With such steep sides of some of the deep bunkers when watered or rain,,they erode into the bunker. also causing some of them being very hard without sand..the rest of the course was great
BUNKERS!
Bunkers are back to being normal! This is my home course and play it weekly. Bunkers have been rock hard in the past and now they’re soft and playable. Fairways are great and greens are well kept up. Only thing i think they can work on is mowing the tee boxes.
Good course
First time playing this course as I’m not from here. Loved the layout of this course and the condition was really good. Great pace of play and the price is right. Staff is super friendly. Restaurant doesn’t open til 10 so eat before if you have an early tee time. I’ll definitely play again if I’m ever back.
Sand traps
Good job guys! Sand traps are looking good. Friendly staff! Enjoy playing there. Just don’t water to much
Nice desert links course
Fairways are thin at best and spotty close to greens. Course used to be great conditions. Traps should be removed if they aren’t gonna be maintained. They have weeds and grass but little sand. The montra of the course used to be let’s be the best in New Mexico and the southwest. Now it’s screw you, pay your money, we don’t care about conditions and pace of play. I would never play the rack rate to play the course now. At best pay the lowest rate on golf now and play the traps as ground under repair. The pro shop staff is still friendly and courteous I don’t understand why high handicapped golfers would play there. The fairways are contour cut and narrowed in landing areas. The rough goes from three or more inches to five. The greens are more receptive but some have damage. You can tell that there is no membership, because most players don’t fill divots, rake traps, or generally give a crap about the course. It’s sad to see the course this way because it could be a real gem.
