Red Hawk Golf Club

Course was just ok. Usually conditions through the green are great. Must be tough winter. Grass was thinnest I’ve ever seen there. Sand traps are still horrible. Greens are great. Very fast. Crew has cut rough around greens so a decent shot on water guarded greens will end up in h2o. Compared to other courses in area red hawk is still the best deal for a golf test and great value. Don’t expect the same in club house and meals though. Hope for a wet spring and course will shine again

The best quality price I ever played in my life. I'm from Montréal and played all over the state. In Palm Springs, we would pay more than $100 to play a course like that. Superb condition, fast greens, great layout. A must in that area.

Booked on GolfNow at an amazing price for the quality and condition of this course. Layout challenging with little room for error on approach shot to greens which were fast but fair. Friendly staff and club food after the round very good and reasonably priced. Will be back!

This course is long, and when the rough is long it is really difficult, so stay in fairways. The rough was mowed down this time I played so did have shots. The greens are fast and on some have to hit the right place to stay on..lots of undulations .

It is a very nice course so play to your handicap on the card..it is long.

The course is in outstanding condition for January fairways and greens couldn’t be better, the sand traps are in good playing condition. The pace of play was excellent played 18 under 4 hours. The staff in the clubhouse and on the course were friendly and helpful. I will place here again as well as recommend it.

First played Red Hawk summer of 2018. Course was spectacular. Great conditions, challenging layout, mutlpe tees and fabulous green complexes. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff add to the experience. A must play New Mexico golf course. Tout ready now. Worthy of being named New Mexico’s best. Ken Dye’s best work on a great site.

Was not able to finish around due to a movie that was being filmed there on the 13th through 15th. nobody was able to give us a refund at the GC and Golfnow was only able to offer us a $20 reward that is not really beneficial to us and so we ended up getting just a dozen of golf balls not really a fair trade for an afternoon of golf that was foiled! Great course bad luck.

WOW !!! The course conditions were excellent for OCT 5th.

The tee box, fairways and greens were are very well watered & GREEN. The greens were fast and well cut/rolled with very few unfixed divots. The numerous sand traps were all groomed and yes the sand is a bit gritty but playable. The layout is challenging as I learned in the first 3 holes with double bogey before a small string of pars. Didn't think the fairways are as narrow as some reviews say, but if you missed them.... its a loss ball or unplayable lay. Long hitters should ease up a bit off the tee with a lot of the holes even though it plays long. The altitude & fairway roll can get you in trouble with bunkers or off into the desert. if you crush your tee-shot. The guy I played with , said he has seen a few rattlesnakes in the brush, so while I saw a few stray golf balls , I did not go too deep in to try and retrieve. them. Staff was friendly through out my round. My only hang up was the pace of play. No Marshall was seen to keep the slow twosome in front of us from playing " ready play golf" when needed. Course is worth the asking price. Do expect to lose a few balls in the water or dessert, but the 360 degree views will help soften that frustration. I will play again and drive the one hour from El Paso to do so.

Great course, excellent value with a very friendly staff. Only fly in the ointment was the back nine was closed for the production of the movie “Walk with Herb” . They should wrap that up by the 16th.
