In el Paso for work. Played here. Turf conditions and greens are in excellent conditions. Cons numerous bunkers with no way to measure distance from tee. Bunkers are in very poor condition(rock hard and full of rocks.) Many could be filled in without loss of course design

Beautiful, challenging course in immaculate condition. Golf Club staff very friendly and helpful. Verde Grill a great place to grab a cold one and a bite to eat. Food was good and the service was outstanding, especially considering the number of customers that hit the Grill at the same time. Loved our round and can't wait to play Red Hawk again.

A great golf course made unplayable by poor water management. Every sprinkler aimed straight into sand hazards. If you are unfortunate to land in a sand bunker, just pickup because they are so saturated you can NOT play a decent shot. The 18th hole greenside bunker had “standing” water in it at 1:30 pm.

Some areas around green same thing, so wet and soggy with grass laid down away from the green - ruining many chip shots.

Since that unfavorable experience, the director of golf there has contacted me several times to apologize & gather information to improve their process & prevent reoccurrence. Mistakes happen & in my opinion the recovery was astounding.

We will absolutely play the course next time we are inLas Cruces.

Planned a golf trip there coming from Tucson with friends.

Booked 1 week in advance (confirm # 421148022) then made travel & accommodation arrangements.

3 days prior received a generic email stating that there are no tee times available due to a chamber of commerce tournament. No alternative times or apologies offered in the email. Signed simple Red Hawk Golf.

Red hawk golf & the city of Las Cruses will not be receiving any tourist dollars from our group …

This course is awesome. Super fairways and greens . Play from the appropriate T's and you will really enjoy your round. Staff is there to help and the restaurant had great food and choices. Really enjoyed our round and will play again if back in this area.

One of thee best public golf courses I have ever played and I've been playing 40 years. The staff was professional, and the golf course was in very good condition. Played with some locals who said it's windy from now to the end of April.

Visiting family in El Paso and was looking forward to playing at Red Hawk based off of the reviews especially since I booked a foursome on a hot deal through golfnow.com. I was pretty amazed by the condition of the course in late March.

Its a challenging course since the fairways aren't flat and the greens were slightly fast. The pace of place was good; we finished in 3.5 hours. There were moments when the folks behind us teed off while we were on the fairway but they slowed down once they saw that we had to wait a couple of times for folks in front of us. We must've seen the marshall about 3x to ensure things kept moving but he never rushed us.

All in all, I recommend this course especially this time of year.
