Nice layout.
I’ve always enjoyed playing here. Each hole offers a unique challenge, and the greens are fast enough and the slopes will keep things interesting.
Skyway golf course is a fun course that can be enjoyed by golfers of all ability. Choose the right tees and you will enjoy your round. The course is very aesthetically pleasing. The views of the city are amazing - the course has striking bunkers and the long grass surrounding the fairways frames the holes beautifully by creating contrast between the rough and the fairway. I particularly enjoyed the short par three (hole 4) and the last par 5 which requires a 230-250 yard carry off the tee to clear the hazard. The course seems reasonably priced for its location. I would also like to say the staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. If I return to this area again, I will definitely book another round at Skyway.
A first for everything!
I'm still confused about this, but my son and I were sent out with four other people. A Mom and Dad and their two children aged 10 & 12. It was like playing golf at an elementary playground! The kids were running all over the place and Mom and Dad were busy playing golf. Thanks Skyway, this is the reason you have Rangers... Mom and Dad were supposed to be chaperones only, they weren't, and Dad played the full 9, Mom played 5 holes. The starter was more interested in being a standup comedian than paying attention to his actual job...aside from the nightmare 4 some we were sent out with, the links course is in excellent shape. Very narrow, in fact way too narrow for a links style course but in the middle of Jersey City, this is what you get. Most of your shots are blind due to the tight quarters you're playing in. And you can leave your Diver at home, you won't need it. Also, don't waste your money on a cart, as you are pretty much restricted to the cart path with a few exceptions, but it's a short course so walking is the way to go. The greens were in great shape, and they were fast. The course is in terrific condition, kudos to the grounds keeping crew! Will I be back, sorry but No.
Scenic
Very fun course
, goalie equipment
I love this course it is A unique experience with the most unusual views you’ll ever have on a golf course. Views of New York skyline to the east planes landing, and taking off from Newark airport to the west the Pulaski skyway and an old powerplants one other thing helicopter traffic going from Newark airport to probably New York City.
With all of that to look at, you’ll also be playing a really interesting golf course with usually very good conditions.
The reason for the goalie equipment is on the putting green and chipping area there was a camp going on and a couple of kids were chipping full swings balls going everywhere. Very dangerous to be there. The counselors weren’t doing a thing about it. I don’t wanna sound like a grump, but if you’re gonna have kids chipping, that really don’t know how to play golf. They should have instruction, I think it’s great that you get kids into golf.
Wow
Wow…. I should have checked this place out earlier. What a great place from start to finish. Other county courses should take notes from this place ….
